Can't wait to see tomorrows nights eviction, when Jade walks out to the biggest booing and won't understand why? Then she'll be told why her career [ ?] is over.
Poor Jade.

All this fuss has been worth it for that alone.

Also, i know Wayne Rooney isn`t the sharpest tool in the box, but looking at the vermin Teddy Sheringham, Stephen Gerrard and Peter Crouch have landed themselves with i think he`s done very well on the girlfriend front.

Tonight apparently she called Shilpa - Shilpa Fuckawallah and Shilpa Poppadum .

She said what!!!

It pains me to think what we've become.

Where as I accept that this kind of individual has always existed, and I'm hardly shocked by it, what I do find horrifying is that we have some how perverted ourselves as a scoiety in such a way as that we feel it curiously acceptable to not only provide the likes of Jade Goody the oxygen of publicity, but reward her for it. I think it might have started with the importing of these gross American audience participation shows that started int he late 80's on mid morning television (you know the sorts) "my boyfirends beeen shagging my best mates budgie, and now he's started hitting me, but I love him really" etc these were obviously put on at a time of today to appease a certain demographic, then repeated late at night after closing time. I suppose their invasion in the mainstream, and manifestation as BB etc was inevitable. I'm hoping this could be the last of BB, and might precipitate a backlash against this genre.

Just for background, I did have a chat with our Community Cohesion Officer on the subject today regarding Shilpa, and sought to find a British equivilant. The two names she came out with, eventually after having considered and discounted a few, were Kate Winslet and a younger Joanna Lumley.

Shilpa isn't an A list Bollywood star apparently, but would most definately have a following and be more recognised in terms of global count than any of the others. She had something of meteoric rise but lasted only a couple of years, before hitting a flat spot over the last 3 or 4, and would be a bottom B lister. She is high caste as we knew (Brahman) and is a well appointed, educated and rich. She's likely to be as interested in the 'experiment' as she doesn't need the money?

Just for Bar the Bulls info though, she is unmarried and has been the subject of how shall we say, a slightly colourful personal life, but has never got to the street level, that you might associate with the likes of Spears, Hilton et al. But has too much natural class and breeding to be a Beckham. Hers is more of the glamour/ lifestyle side of things apparently.

Is there a number I can ring to help this along?
FFs Gareth what is the point of a quote when we don`t know the identity of the quotee.

And as for the end of BB, not a chance. You`ve gotta realise that this Celebrity one and the normal one in May are vastly different creatures.

I've hated this version since day 1 but I watched today coz of this racism shit and now i'm hooked.
Great!!

 Grasshopper!

The CEO of Ch.4, Andy Duncan, has asserted that the girls' attitude towards Shilpa merely 'reflects that of British society'. Er, that'd be whites-only, would it, or would it include the million or so Asian British, not to mention mixed-race British, Caribbean British, Polish British (since WW2), and so on and on? Not in my bloody name it doesn't, Dumbcan.

Jade to suddenly find all her contracts inexplicably cancelled? I have to say, she has the right fizzog for 'the unacceptable face of British racism'! When she opens that gob to its full extent, you could lose whole counties in one gulp.

The topic was Jade's victimisation of the Indian bird, and how this merely represents British society as a whole.

yes well....if that refers to racism its crap

Jade represnting britain? not the one i know

Lowest support for racist parties of any major european country. The reaction to the vile jade tells me more about what we are like. There has been zero tolerance of it and even though it grieves me to defend her, her comments were some way short of outright racism.

And the yanks commenting? Now i love america...but pot/kettle

Bullying culture? Maybe thats what they mean...

No one would of course accuse americans or america of bullying anyone...

Maybe the public is just a little, er... jaded, and is sick to the back teeth with seeing her being promoted in adverts, diet fads, in magazines, flogging her perfume, promoting her family, giggling and gurning on dumb chat shows, and generally being given the full-on treatment that many aspiring artistes with real talent would die for. Consider the numbers of young people who can sing, dance, act, play music really well, and who never get a real pop at the big-time because, frankly, showcasing your talent is very costly. This lummox comes onto a show, gets lucky on the basis of being thick beyond the dreams of unreality, and is now a multi-millionaire BECAUSE she's thick, not because she's wittily engaging or has an ounce of any talent to call her own. So perhaps the public has at last grown rather tired of Miss Gobshite?

Clivex, yes, it's faceist, fattist, dingbatist and mouthist! When I take agin someone, I don't muck about by halves!

wtf is that?
It's a job title Clive, there's no end of them flying around. Similarly, there's no end of people with job titles that you might be familiar with, who can't do the job.

And before you say its public sector thing, not necessarily true, we are guilty of course but my favourite has to be the train guard, now re-branded "revenue protection officer".

In truth what tends to happen is the government or which ever funding body supports the creation of a post/ job, invents a buzz word on the back of a policy and then announces plans to 'roll it out'. Consequently a whole host of 'bids' go in to these funds that have to press the right buttons in order to release the money. It's really that simple. In many respects, it's a bit of a game, and that's how some of these incongruous job titles emerge

So Warbler?

What does he do all day?

Go around with a megaphone telling people to stop fighting?

As a committed avoider of the 'show', I didn't know about any of this until it was blasted in our faces by the national news programmes. I have to say I agree 100% with Krizon's comment.

Also if it's true that

she should be prosecuted.

Sadly, I also have this gut feeling that she does represent typical white British views in the 21st Century.

Well, your gut feeling is crap and Jade Goody is mixed race anyway

I get sick and tired of sanctimonious idiots (often seemingly from countries where race attitudes are pretty poor) assuming that because of one or two low lifes the rest of the british population can be tarred with the same brush

So I suppose Jade goody will get the public support tonight then will she???

You should judge this from the reaction to her ignorant behaviour rather than from the behaviour itself

In effect your comments are equally bigoted

And i suspect you are simply wanting to believe what you want to believe too

apparently the vile danielle had certain views about immigration before the programme

Well danielle

Immigrants come here to WORK and CONTRIBUTE (not sponge from) to the economy. They do not WHINGE and they more often than not respect this great country and look forward with a positive view

Danielle is from Liverpool
