Not a field I have been paying a great deal of attention to of late (though I am surprised there isn't already a thread on the topic on the forum...), but I heard Mullins interviewed on RTE today and, of his recent winners, he particularly mentioned Paparazzi Kid and Morning Royal as likely Cheltenham prospects.

Make of that what you will.

He hasn't won't it in a while though has he....:ninja:

It's one of the biggest turnover races of the festival ante post. Over the short number of years I've worked in betting I've seen some trutly useless beasts punted for this race. It will be 7/1 the field on the day si ante post betting is pointless in my opinion. The only touch I've seen landed was Total Enjoyment. Wille Mullins runs another "This is his Cheltenhan..." bumper horse tomorrow but he is going to be turned over by an aeroplane, quite literally.

I remember trying to convince a forumite they had made a horrible mistake backing Equs Maximus each way at 4/1.

Back in the heady days in Belfield, when all was right with the world, I remember having a sizable chunk on one Ballytrim for this race.

Them were the days.

Is that the Ballytrim that Mullins described as 'a bit of an old boat' the other year [or something like that]?

The only horse for money... If this fella doesn't collect I am taking a Del Boy like sabbatical until Cheltenham. The New Year so far has been a train wreck for me. I'm as cold as bag of very cold things buried 200 ft below the Artic Circle.

Slim you are going to have to lose the Avatar! It's very hard to take you seriously at the best of times but Meryl frigging Streep...:nono:

What about the Harrington yoke? Incredibly well bred, and should like the ground being by Pivotal.

The Mullins Horse is extremley well bred. Same daddy as Quevaga and Sir Des Champs. Word from Giginstown stud is that he is the real deal. Should have no trouble with conditions. I got on this morning when it drifted following all the money for the Weld horse. A nice double with Eddie O'Grady's winner in the first at 11/10.

Sorry Grey I meant it was a good family but nothing classy had come out of it in a while.
The winner looked a star.

I dont think we'll be seeing that Weld horse until nearer the Spring. Weld said he'll be at his best on firm ground. He wouldn't have beaten that Mullins horse anyway. Mullins has described him as "the next big coming"!! Hard to judge on todays race but he couldn't have been more impressive once Paddy said go. He'll be better on better ground too. Coming from Quevaga's family he wont lack speed.
