Can I swear? A la mode of Blackadder.....DDDDDDDDDDDDDAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMNNNNNNNNNNN!
No no no no no....give the poor s** a break! At least 11 2. I cried. I'm still crying. And that could go up.
DDDDDDDDDDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN AND BLAST THEM.

I don't feel any better, been sitting on that work all day.......... aarrrrrggggghhhhhhhhhhhhHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

It’ll probably be of little consolation to you G-G but the weight he’s carrying is irrelevant as it’s his official rating of 145 when compared to the others which will contribute to his chances.

And that wasn’t going to change. If anything you should be happy. He’s number 18 on the list and the max field is 24. Obviously a few will come out as they run elsewhere but too much less and he wouldn’t have got in.

There’s a good chance at least one of the 155 rated runners will stand their ground so 11-2 is going to be your likely racing weight, which is about ideal.

Death duty 1lb lower than its irish mark.
Elliot is using a 7lb claimer on sire de berlais and some other top weights.

Not certain Up for Parol will get in the county.

Well maybe but he's almost always had top weight/never carried less than 11 stone since he ran in his bumpers when he was a very weak four and a half year old. He's never been round Cheltenham, which I think is a huge disadvantage. He's extremely buzzy, always last in the paddock and hope they don't hang around at the start too long, and has to be held at the start so he doesn't go off like a scalded cat, which can lead to him running out of gas at the end of a race, especially when, as now, he's going to be mega fresh as not run for 6 weeks by the time he gets there, whereas ideally he's better running every 3 weeks ish( always comes out of his races really well) . Just so much against him having a decent go, I think, and was really hoping at least weight wise he'd get a break.
The ones on 11 12 all have other entries, really hoping one at least stand their ground. In Nick Luck's video which Simon put up , handicapper for that race saying he thinks 133 will be bottom.

Just keeping my fingers crossed now that some of mine make the cut.
Up for parol (county)
Farinet (plate)
Silver sheen (pertemps)
Secret reprieve (kim muir)

My biggest loser would be Empire steel.

You still fancying Dallas Des Pictons?

Rob James on Sire Du Berlais apparently, takes 7 off.

Yes Rob James well worth the 7lb. SdB in to 8s generally. 9s still available with SkyBet NRNB or 11s ante-post

I've just noticed Empire steel is down to run at kelso in a 28g race.
But that doesnt tie in with its usual month between races.

Silly question: a friend and I were discussing last night the possibility of one of the top four staying in, and they all have other entries at this stage. Friend thinks that at next dec stage they cannot have multi entries - is that true? He thinks they have stopped that to try and cut down on last minute decisions/multiple entries stopping some horses otherwise getting in?
Thank you. :)
Message from Conor last night saying needs some rain .. I told him it was coming, hopefully not too much now though please. Thank you very much.

At the (48 hour) declaration stage no horse will be able to declare for more than one race excluding non-novice Grade 1 contests, unless it has been eliminated from a race or has been declared as a reserve.

Thank you but that means in theory at the 5 day stage they still can? I don't see how leaving it until 48 hours really helps some a lot? Especially if have more than one entry on the same day.

Yes they can and many still will leave in at the 5 day stage.

There are financial costs associated with leaving horses in multiple races until as late as possible, prior to the declarations but it’s pennies to the vast majority of owners.

The 4:21 at Clonmel should throw some light on State Man’s chances at the festival. The horse he beat at Limerick and the third from the Leopardstown race where he fell, head the betting. Neither of these horses has a festival entry, btw.

The Big Bite runs at Donny tomorrow and I'd like a form boost for Before Midnight who I've backed for the Grand Annual. He kinda doesn't need it after Funanbule Sivola's Game Spirit win but it'd be nice all the same.

Buddy Rich been hammered in for the Grand Annual. Travels like a dream but has to get up the hill. Got a fright when I checked his price yesterday....11/2!

Farout of Willie Mullins. Confirmed not going to Cheltenham last week, now being considered for the County. Decison to be made late next week
