Daily picks.

Haydock 2.10

Cono zur should lead this race from the 1 draw, likes the track 2/5 over c/d won the race last season by 3ls that race was no weaker than this and runs off same mark of 69.On fast ground he can run well in the mid 70s if he's allloed to dictate should run well, the race is full of rogues on the downgrade who were much better. On recent form and overall profile its impossible to positive about any of them as they never run two races alike, there are 16 runners on this ground I wouldn't be looking higher than a single figure draw.So that would put recent 2nd albaqaa in the frame and the extra furlong will suit, plus one at a bigger price barwick still only 14 lifetime runs 2/8 over the mile likes fast ground although will need them to go off pretty quick as usyually loses ground.

Saloomys interesting after racing on the wrong side at ascot winning the race on that side as to follows write up,still very lightly race with just the 7 runs.Again looks to have a preference for fast ground beat stir trader at sailsbury last season on fm ground and runner up to signor sassi at Yarmouth on fast ground.Signor sassi has some nice formin better races than this so the form looks good. The rest of the field are really exposed bar one or two chooseday would lookin interesting on softer ground but the only other progressive runner polar venture runner up to yeoow at Kempton finishing strongly. There will undoubtedly be more to ciom.

The form from the 4th of may and another lightly raced gelding missippi just the 7 turf runs last time out travelled like the winner only to be touched off by enrol. The forms worked out really well with klynch 3ls behind in 4th winning twice since lastly off 87,another of my to follows was in behind mappin time.Mappin time has an 8 pound turnaround for 6ls but that was not a true reflection of the form as was badly hampered and wouldn't have been to far behind. He may not reverse the form but should be a lot closer,he also won on this card off a pound higher mark on this faster ground last seson pea shooters also run well here off higher marks on this fast ground and could be suited by step up in trip.

Redvers and zacynthus have the best form in the book zacynthis won here last season off 2 pound lower mark while although redvers has some good form his run here when 5th to tamareen maybe the track doesn't suit. Two bigger priced runners jonny castle and sir Reginalds 3rd and 7th to cape classic fits in with the form of zacynthus.

The amateur riders race last race on the card the jock of maven has a record of 3/1/1 was second to rye house last time out the ground seems pretty irrelevant, although if there is rain it may lessen others chances in the race.Whispering warrior had only run on the aw till last run when staying on at newmaeket in a decent handicap has no form on softer ground but that was a promising run.

Not going to make any picks as a few of these will come out but it maybe worth investing in some fcsts and tricasts on the lower draws all depending on prices. The highs seem to struggle when soft ground and last season in the bigger fields you could've had a bit of luck with the lower draws if you can find the prominent ryunners. As it stands the two favs 1 and 5 are drawn 1 and 2 could really do with one of them being taken out to find some better value.I'll be looking late on at this race.

If star lahib runs to his seasonal debut when second to docs legacy that would be very good form in the context of this race docs legacy since runner up to beaumonts party.Beaumonts party has been 3rd to sir john hawkwood and 2nd to mijhaar since off 94,also the time of the Donny race was 1.3 seconds quickrer than the other div won by eastern destiny. She didn't want to know last time out but would have a great chance on thiose formlines. This race is full of horses that aren't really stayers at least the better horses in the race,if star lahib doesn't run to form then it could well be a falsely run race and it could well turn into a more of a mile.Vainglory has some very good mile form and with laura pike riding I could well see him picking up this race run at a false pace on his best form.

Gatepost has a touch of class a 3rd and 5th to Fulbright and 5th to miss rally in silver cup has dropped to a mark off 88 and is extremely well handicapped. The negative could be 2 runs here two poor runs but they were over 5fs and a mile the 6fs looks a the ideal distance. There appears to be a lot of pace in the race at least 5 that will make the running and yair hill still looks nicely handicapped with kevin ryan now training, race could be run to suit.

BOSUN BREESE

Mentioned these races last season when bosun breese hacked up by 7ls off 75 carrying 9-3 yet was .83 quicker than bajan tryst winning off 9-10 off 96.It proved to be the times were right as bosun breese went onto win his next two races off 81 then 86 and was even third off 93 at ripon. His best form has all come around this month of june and last year was a big improver, these speed tracks like musselburugh he's obviously a far better horse and similarly at ayr where he had horses such as jack dexter and kingsgate choice behind.Off this present mark off 85 if running at one of these tracks he would look a stand out bet against same grade handicappers and those races will be coming up over the next fortnight. The most important thing will be some juice as well and as long as he gets it he's going to take a lot of beating, doesn't look particularly well handicapped but the win off 86 at ayr he may just be far better on these two topes of tracks as looked like a 100 horse on the ayr win.

Pink lips has only had the 6 lifetime runs four of which she's run on turf winning once and 2nd last time out to jonny skull an unlucky loser just not quite getting a clear run and would've won in another stride. That form looks weak but the time of that race was very good on that card and previous to that win of jonny skulls he'd produced another decent winning time when winning previously at Yarmouth. It looks as though she's met jonny skull running possibly running the best he's ever run,she is open to improvement off only 54 as well. There is rain fcast tomorrow so would be impossible to know if she's as good on softer ground, but when running 4th to les vergeuttes on only third start she was green and running on to be nearest finish the trip looks ideal.I might have another bet in this race with fcasts etc if the rain arrives, will add on later.

Had some small interests on querido at 20/1 gopd record on gd/sft last 3 runs has won and been second and beaten rapid water last season, looks like the stands side is a big advantage again can't do them all so will do 3,8,12,18 fcasts and tricasts all got form on soft ground.

Burning blaze

Another I put up last season won this race in a time only .35 slower than van ellis winning the older handicap off 100,went on to disappopoint on a run at York on slower ground before finishing third to polski max on soft ground at the end of the season. Then on debut this season a really encouraging run behind hasopop off 86 in a redhot handicap, sitting on the outside of the field but was pushed further out as raced progressed to eventually be 5th only beaten 1 3/4ls.There were several other unlucky runners in the race such as brazen probably worth looking out for and rivellino but the value maybe slightly better with burning blaze as the others were much more obvious eyecatchers being prominent in betting.

1pt trade celtic sixpence 14/1 365!!

12/1 victor.

No money for it out at 8.2,nice start to the day with it placing reversed form with two turtle doves as well, backed again at 15/2 ew when non runners came out.

Celtic sixpence was better than these 2011 and regressed in 2012,her first five soft ground runs were 2/1/2/1/3 then last season she was 13/8/10 but of all time high marks. This season she's trained by nick kent not getting any winners but 5 out of his last ten ryunners have been second, she recently ran at Donny in same grade wasting ground on outer of field then drifting to her left just costing her the race behind school fees and al freej. That was as good as most of the form in tomorrows race, the ground should come up at least good to soft and there doesn't appear to be many soft ground runners in the field. She has a lot to find with two turtle doves on the Newmarket form but that was on quicker ground she could easily run well in this not impossible she could go off half current price!!

Hilary needler

The most obvious pick is the fav currently 3/1 365 the run at York behind beldale memory on soft ground time was pretty good compared to the older handicap on the york card won by moviesta. There are lots of collateral formlines that point her beating most of these if not all although the 3/1 would look far better on guaranteed gd/asft ground. She will undoubtedly be backed if the ground comes up soft and would probably go off half those odds. The other interesting runner drawn next to her is champagne babe finished 7th behind Lexington rose at York but quite interesting that the horse that finished third in that race classy lassy she beat 3ls on debut. Those would be my two against the field from the 1,2 draws.

You missed the fancy prices in running.. she must have had 2 stone in hand

She looked a cert on last run,but knew it would be desperate if she won running there from that draw even backed her ew knowing that there would never be 16 runners with the rain coming.

Great call Gigs, just ran into one. Had a cut e/w. :)

Good luck Giggs but I've gone for some value with Blockade e/way 12/1 - the 17 runner Newmarket maiden she ran in has produced 12 winners and the others have not run again or finished 2nd. Although there is a form line through that race that makes Lexington Rose the one to beat. All the best.
