Daily picks.

I think if you look back I have congratulated you on countless winners, and also thanked you by PM/email. No need to get so defensive - simply pointing out that you specifically said this surface didn't suit this one today.

I get no pms I get no positive comments whatsoever bar the people that email me and then I get these pathetic whinging comments about some 6/4 shot that's wion. The day I start getting paid £60 an hour for posting stuff on here feel free to have a whinge, there are stacks of winners on here which I havn't even mentioned as can't be bothered to find them half the time..

well done on the winners, got the same problems on my notebook thread, doesnt matter
how many winners you give people, they always like to have a moan, every now and again. good write up on G FORCE, was going to reply about the sectionals for the nunthorpe, liked EXTORTIONIST for next year, you couldnt argue about the EXPLOSIVE speed shown by GF at york, usually the best attribute for sprinters.

And unbelievably I never backed it as I missed the big prices was 20/1 I never even checked till two days before and prices had gone.Gamblers always moan, thats why they do my head in had it for 20 years, two years ago the picks I was putting on here someone I was sending them to won 30k in two months and took his family on holiday to mexico. The following month I think I had a run of 15+ losers comes back moaning, that's their mentality told him to go phuck himself.Doesn't matter how many winners you give most punters they will inevitably lose it all, thats an absolute certainty I know exactly how their minds work. It's all about the next bet not making long term profits at the right prices, really irritates me that's why I don't like telling anyone anything..

Sors
Ellenvelyn

This was a strange piece of form as winner had been runner up to beach belle at the curragh and just touched off two nemcomers on very heavy ground. This must surely be dubious form as the time was .28 quicker than the following handicap won by thrilled to bits off 75 carrying 8-4 the winner and runner up carried 15 pound more and ran quicker which would be unheard of on debut runs.I havn't looked at sectionals and as I rarely look at irish form and with the trainer of the third never had a winner from 63 runners I will take it as present as form to note but not take to seriously.I would presume the other runners in the handicap did not go on the ground they were beaten 2 3/4ls,2 3/4ls and 1 3/4ls which would put them miles behind the 2yr olds and the second rated 95.It all looks very strange, what it does show that the second and third do go on desperate ground their sires actually had a preference for faster ground which makes the runs look even stranger.
It's worth keeping an eye on as so early in the season it cannot possibly be as good as first appears, but with unfashionable trainer in third there maybe some value and the trainer of second Andrew slattery trains an saighdiur so maybe still some substance to the form. The probability is the conditions have produced these flattering times, but will keep a close on the race and their next entries!![/QUOTE

My second entry of the beginning of the turf, rarely look at Dundalk see sors won yesterday and the third ellenvelyn hasn't even run since..

Big baz

As mentioned a couple of weeks ago willie muir having a good year introduced a promising newcomer at wolves and similarly today with big baz,the time of the race respectable for debut run but hacking up in doing so.A 65000 euro yearling, dam won group 3 and related to group 1 winner and listed winner. This gelding looks half decent and looks like willie muirs got some nice horses for the future at a higher level..

Weakest grade race for 3yr olds, the winner looked well handicapped in winning but will be out of this grade next time out and may well win again. The most promising thing about the race was the time 1m12.30 a respectable time looking at this years 6f races and in the lowest grade, the runner up rated 56 with just 9 lifetime runs shown very little previously and the third just rated 53 with 7 lifetime runs.If they repeat this form then no reason why they both can't win in this grade,it looks as though the fast pace and track suited so it maybe their best chances will be back over c/d with guaranteed pace. They look worth a couple of chances back on this track.

Tigers tale

The 5yr old has had plenty of chances on turf, this was lifetime best run previously beaten on on turf in the 80s over the mile did finish 3rd over this c/d in the silver Cambridgeshire last season off 85 today was off 91.Think this just shows how well he is running trying to make all and still battling on well after being headed. He had previously won at Kempton beating a couple of these infront of him on the aw over a mile from the 16 draw. That was run in a time of 1m36.28,a pretty decent time considering his draw he's only 4 pound higher and this best ever performance on the turf might point to him bettering his best ever aw form. There might just be another nice aw handicap for him as he looks in form of his life,he's only had 10 runs on the aw winning four 3 at his favourite track Kempton.

I would like to know your opinion about the 2yo chance in the prix de abadía with the big allowance they are receiving.

Thinks in advance

These higher grade races with wfa allowances I don't really look at in great depth, just generally they are not my type of races I probably wouldn't even have remembered the race till now someones mentioned it.Her overall form it's impossible to pick any holes in,even the farce of a race Saturday those in behind look top class with loads of improvement to come.Anthem alexander ran as quick as my good brother rated 102 at Tipperary in a canter early on in the season so that was a top class run in itself that alexander anthem could beat an 102 rated horse easily off levels.Tiggy wiggy looks 5/6 pound better horse on two previous runs logically it tells you she's well in,she looks like she could be a bit special next season even better.I also wouldn't write more improvement from anthem alexander yet either just because he's been beaten twice looks best 2yr olds seen in a while sprinting wise and there are a few others as well.Think it will purely come down to whether she's tactically versatile as she's unlikely to lead these and make all.whether she wins or not next season for her and others will be more interesting as this years 2yr olds will take over..

Chooseday

Chooseday has always had reasonable form in the 80s but doesn't win very often, this season looking at his figures they look at first glance really regressive bar the 3rd in the race above consolation for st Winifred. This season he's run over 5fs not his trip,he's been drawn 16 at epsom 12 at ponte and 4 at thirsk probably wants a little cut to the soft side of good and as last year at Yarmouth get a draw to run to against a rail. With the ground changing off current marks with decent draw he could be a nice bit of value as he's not a bad handicapper on his day..

Talmeyd

Another 3yr old that could be way ahead of the handicapper and heading for better things and again today was only second run winning easily by 5lsc eased with a furlong to go.Again the ground was pretty slow but the time was very quick, carrying 4 pound more than bondesire winning the older handicap earlier on the card off 92,yet only .10 slower but the latters time could've been a lot quicker. He looks like he maybe given a mark in high 80s yet has run as quick as 90+ older horses off levels with loads of improvement to come. The form has come at chester and on very slow ground, but he looks one to follow and again his mark will be very interesting he again could go onto be better than a handicapper..

A very fast looking time on the Friday card infact quicker than todays win by music master although that race was not run at a true clip this still looks a quick time for 2yr olds in a small field. The time on the day compared very favourably with the 5f sprint for older horses and looks massively improved form to me for not just the winner but the runer up as well.Adaay was back in third and was beaten 5 3/4l futyher than he was beaten by the wow signal at ascot so an interesting race.Last season on this card the 5f sprint was 1.60 seconds quicker than this years corresponding race which shows the ground was not as quick as the listed race would suggest and puts it in an even better light.
Limato has only had 3 runs he could be very decent from the candy stable and the second may just have improved again after a recent 6th to hootenay, there are lots of 2yr olds now clocking up decent times too many to write up and put on here.Quite a proliferation to be betting them but think the candy horse maybe worth risking in higher grade and the second may just go off bigger prices than it should in listed races..

A taking win from the only twice raced colt winning off 82 by 6ls in a canter, this was also backed up by the winning time. The 82 rated colt running .43 quicker than Aeolus winning the listed race rated 101,the colt even carried more weight 5 pound more. His new mark will be very interesting as he looks miles beyond his mark I presume he wil be put on 95 which will still make him backable in handicaps and at least on this ground on his way to group races.
As I've mentioned over the last 2 weeks most of the form of these decent winners has been on this very slow ground,so a lot of these winnners may have till wait till the autumn for similar conditions..

Karaka jack

Worth noting a few for the beginning of the turf season, the above race showing how capable he is on his day although doesn't win as often as you would expect.A lot of that is through his consistency since hid first ever run in sept 2009 he's never dropped below 73 and the majority of those seasons been stuck in low 80s so always running in very competiotive handicaps.
He's quite unique as most horses are deliberately run down the field to get to winning marks whereas nicholls persists with keeping him running well in higher grade handicaps.
He ran this week at swell a strange entry as usually comes out in april, has also never been allowed to race into November so has always had a 5 month break.Quite significant that he has come back the last two seasons in april,2012 winning off 81 then 4th to captain bertie in the spring mile then last season again comeback run in april winning off 73 the coming 2/1/2 in consecutive runs, plus later in season the above run.I can see him returning in april again more than likely Donny again where both wins came as well,he could well be underestimated in betting and with ground pretty immsterial worth a bet..

This looked a poor race at face value a maiden handicap, but the time suggests the first two might be better than their marks and maybe open to improvement on the surface over a mile. The three meetings at lingfield this week the track has been riding slow compared to the last few months, infact the class 4 won by maverick wave rated 84 by 4ls was only .76 quicker than this race and he could turn out to be better than a handicapper.Looking at the times over the 3 days the time for this grade compared to every other race over the three days compares well.I think the track was slightly quicker tonight, the above two there must be a fair chance this form will get dismissed so pricewise there maybe a bit of value. The winner and runner up have only had 10 and 11 lifetuime runs so not impossible they could be improving off a decent pace over a mile on this surface.I'd be looking at them back over thios c/d with plenty of pace in the race..

Silver heels
Appease

The race looked relatively weak on looking through previous form in the race with mostly exposed runners, the time suggested it was decent, one of the quicker miles there this season.Silver heels looked slightly better grade than these and although exposed still relatively lightly raced on the aw,although had been running poorly at lingfield it maybe he is a bit of a Kempton specialist when given a decent pace to chase. He won this off 79 quite comfortably,if he gets a 6 pound rise can stay in the sane grade and would be interesting back over c/d.
Appease has only had 6 lifetime runs, was off 76 so still open to improvement this was best ever run and again may have preference for the track, won his maiden here.

Visually this looked like a group horse to me,whether the form is up to much is hard to weigh up,champoinship in second has become disappointing and the third won a Kempton maiden by 5ls on debut. The field at finish strung out, regiment was 13ls behind and had some solid habndicap form but not entirely convinced by this field.I just like the way martin Harley let him travel into the race,he looked to have a tonne in hand at finish looked different class to these and with only 4 runs although not yet backed up by form or the clock he looks one to follow. He may just be a group horse.

This class 4 run on Friday night could be good form for the grade, time compared well to the class 2 won by brazos over the 7fs wining off 95.The first 4 in the class 4 all lightly raced winner has only had 4 runs, winning off 80 runner up donncha just the four runs and first time out off 76 this season. The third cricklewood green only the 4 runs off 83 raced slightly further away from the stands side than first ttwo so may have been on slightly slower ground and thanks harry only rated 74 only had 3 runs so he has lots of options and can drop in class. There was 8ls back to the 4th and 7th basil berry was beaten 11ls had won by 4 1/2ls last time out the form looks solid..

Won't see a much weaker handicap but dave evans has potentially picked up a well handicapped horse from the balding stable. The geldingsonly had 10 lifetime runs, today was off 57 started the season on 68 wuth a 5th at bath on gd/fm ground a respectable run when with balding.Last season he was third off 70 amongst higher rated horses in a class 2 at chester,so potentially is well handicapped. He switched to the evans stable penultimate run,had shown nothing this season so on these tracks like chester brighton and on this ground he may just win another one or two in bottom grade as on last years form he looked like he could win in the high 60s..Quite like the ride given to him today, looked beat 2fs out but was just ridebn hands n' heels last furlong and always envcouraging to see horses winning like that after being out of form..

Complete pace collapse in this race run in a decent time of 1m36.52 the second was the biggest eyecatcher cecil trained fair share stuck on inaside nearest finish on debut,Brother to permeate, out of top classs rail link also related to aquistion and market forces could well be big improver on second run although probably be overbet.
This race was strange to watch as the ,3,4,5,6 were disinterested in getting placed only one jock used his whip in the last 1/2 furlong very unusual finish. The form must be slightly suspect with a few showing nothing previously, but the 6th galaxy trained by Alan McCabe looks interesting chased the pace for most of the race and then stayed on with jock not interested in riding out finish.Dam and sire were top class he's now had three runs and could be nicely handicapped afterb this run and hopefully unoticed!!:ninja:

Tendu
Luna mission

One of the best 2yr old performances seen on the clock on the aw think it maybe the fastest time run this year by any horse over 6fs not quite sure but the fact it was a 2yr old filly just makes it even more impressive. She's run quicker than both the class 4 handicap winners last night for older horses by 1/2 second an enormous difference the two winners of those rated 82 and 75 she looks open to loads of improvement. As a betting proposition for the turf with so many good fillies this season there are 6/7 outstanding they would be speculative,it will be interesting to see how she figures back on turf. She may even be a breeders cup horse on this performance, being sister to showcasing she should make an impact she already looks a 100 horse in canter and more interesting for me would be on aw surfaces there looked loads more to come!!!
Luna mission althiough beaten 5ls has still run a decent time for a debut run,dam was listed placed on aw over 5 and 6fs.Marco botti hasn't shown a a great deal with 2yr olds on the aw so far and their is probably more reason to see her figure back on the aw she maybe herself contesting listed races during the aw season in full flow...
