Daily picks.

The going/class adjusted sectionals are quiet telling when you compare Le Rouquin with Youm Jamil

Le Rouquin
1st 6f = 61.0
last 2f = 35.9

Youm Jamil
1st 6f = 61.8
last 2f = 36.2

Le Rouquin faster in both sections, particularly early

Coursing

Blinkers and step up in trip appeared to make all the difference to 55 rated coursing winning easily making all,the time of 1m13.62 was pretty good for a 3yr old winning off 55 a 7 or 8 pound rise will keep her in same grade 65 or below although will be very little value she's worth bearing in mind as races are so weak. The form appears at first glance very weak, but if you take the next 3 placed horses the second had only 3 runs returning from lay off the 3rd only 5 runs and the 4th only 4 runs, the 4th actually looked really well handicapped on her debut run,so the race around those runners not as bad as first appears and makes the winners run look better backed up by time.It also looks as though racing from the front could now be a positive with three winners doing so just today, also the sire kyllachy has had 8 winners from 49 on new surface after coursings win today
with an roi of 115% so could be a sire to keep following closely on tapeta..

An incredible time the track must be lightening as this was only debut run and the placed horses form didn't look upto much either, but the winner gave them a start and ran wide throughout if you took the fastest races run at wolves this year over this trip by the older horses than you would suspect the winner is a 100 horse on this surface comfortably.Certainly the most impressive winner seen at wolves as 2yr old on the clock half brother to niceofyoutotellme, what will be interesting is to see how this race works out as well when I looked at previous runs they all looked poor to me but the winner maybe 10ls better than these at least but still will be interesting to see how the time works out.The winner looks like taking prices for later in the aw season, presuming they keep him on the surfaces...Beau knight:cool: was a little eyecatcher from the back related to group winners over further so might be worth noting as well...

The form and times don't get any better than that,2nd,3rd and 4th all won since..:D

Any opinions on the Mark Johnston newcomer Champagne Ransom yesterday.Looked a big horse to me -he might struggle to win a maiden.

I really didn't take much notice of the race as it was run so slowly although would be difficult to have any positives about the Johnston horse on that run..

Risk n' reward

A desperate race winner rated 49 and runner up rated 51 the runner up had never run on turf so you could excuse all previous form and the winner although harder to excuse previous form between them they still only had 12 runs so wouldn't be major surprise if they were far better than current marks. The winner sluiced up,ashley morgan knew he was going to win this even though only as mentioned the filly only rated 49,the ground may well have been the major factor as on slow side. There was a further 9ls back to the third which gives the form a bit of substabnce and although the previous race for horses rated upto 75 wasn't run at a great pace this very poor handicap was only .10 slower than that race.It will be interesting to see if these runs are repeated as they do look like horses that could run up sequences starting from rock bottom and the second was first run for new trainer.
A lot of these course winners at Yarmouth only seem to act on these sort of tracks so if not racing here I'd be looking at styraight 7f races, the wall horse looks like she will get a mile but 7fs looks her right trip. They may just win a few more between them

Le rouquin

Eyectaching run from the chestnut colt and looks to have plenty of scope stioll having had just the 6 runs, previously had 2 aw runs at wolves and Kempton and showing that form to be all wrong, the most interesting thing is the time and the sire, the tume was exceptionally quick 1m38.23 for a 53 rated 3yr old carrying 9-5 in doing so hacking up.
Nothing in this grade or anything up to the 75 mark has looked this good amongst the 3yr olds at Kempton over a mile, the most disappointing thing was luke morris giving him 5 cracks when if he'd just a quicklook could've wion without using the whip at all and styopped the hike in the weights, regardless oif that a rise of hopefully no more than 12 pound would still look generous as he could still be dramatically improving. He'd also had headgear removed so presume that will never be used again and the top class sire siyouni only 3rd ever runner makes the colt even more interesting, think there's a possibility he may even go further but in these low grade races will be kept at the mile,at the moment he's looking like a 75 horse but could be even better than that...

Hope yo got the 2/1:lol::lol:evens was value bet of the year!!!!!!!:ninja::cool::D

Pensax lad

Wold be hard not to be impressed with pensax lad,4l winner tonight but looked even better than that win very impressive visually probably out of these class 5s this season the only sprinter I've seen that may go on to better things, hardly anything makes all at wolves and although this race was weak for the grade he did look completely different class.
The fact he is so versatile looks natural from the front and won off the pace at lingfield last time out and equally looked as good on both surfaces has even won at swell previously as well,he was eyecatcher penultimate run when badly hampered and has won twice since,he's going to get a big hike after this around the mid 80s wouldn't really interest me if higher than 85 so hopefully will be around that mark.
The other interesting thing was the time only .05 slower than when boom the groom was off 86 carrying 8-12 won over 5fs here back in November yet carrying 9n pound more and as seen tonight hacking up,there are very few progressive sprinters around on the aw around these marks and ron harris has had a poor season but he is good with these sprinters and could be running in the higher class sprints at the end of april...

Gold club looked to be cantering over this foeld after 150 days off,the sire multiplex with a 12% strike rate on polytrack the gelding looks like one to follow with just the 10 lifetime runs todays race was hacking up with 2fs to go then completely stopped in run running on under hand's 'n' heels just making sure he didn't hit the frame..:ninja:
A winner without a penalty only rated 62 he may turm out to be a 70+ horse on this surface and looks like one to follow, last season was 3rd at Beverley off 69 plenty of 70+ horsecbehind with the sire better on poly than turf he looks an interesting runner..

Shadows ofthenight

A weak race with not much pace, shadows ofthenight may turn out to be the best horse in the race though as race wasn't run to suit and she did have the weakest jockey in the race riding as well picking up to be nearest at finish, these aren't the sort of races I follow much as falsely run but they usually are very weak and take very little winning.Off current mark of 67 after this loss wouldn't appear to be particularly well handicapped but only has the 9 lifetime runs so far and two on the aw ran poorly at lingfield, the sire is most interesting fastnet rock has 16% strike rate from just small sample so far on aw but 2/9 on tapeta with 87% roi.She will definitely be coming back to wolves and she may win a race or two and could be overpriced next time out,the negative for her is she looks very small so I doubt she will take a lot of racing....

This maybe good form for the gtrade as the first 3 look like they could be improving on the surface, the times of the earlier 5f races were interesting the older 5f claimer was a lot slower so presumably no pace on as times would mean the younger horses have runs 2o pounds better than current ratings so have scrubbed that race, but the maiden with comeuppance in rated 70 was .38 slower than the 62 rated winner of the handicap and that winner carrying 8 pound more than come uppence.Comeuppence is not worth that rating but he could've improved for first time run on surface, will take the view that he's only a 65 horse that would take the winner of the handicap nearer to a rating of 75 and that may just work out as won nicely and the drop to 5fs looks ideal,he should win again and the times today will be very interesting.
The second like the winner was also coming from what has been the worst draws all season for 5fs they were drawn 8/9,whether the draw made any difference today would be highly unlikely in favour of the highs but as mentioned using the times of the maiden then even the second rated 62 ciould still be well in like winner only second ever run kon surface. The third vale of York is only rated 56,plenty of money for stable out of form and first time on surface, again the time of the maiden winner vale of York would've been close to that time carrying more weight so if this works out then is nicely handicapped also, would look even better if dropped a pound as well to 55 would look thrown in...
