Lots of things going on in this decent race, the 3rd 4th and 5th coming from the back sovereign debt, holiday magic and brigladorio grey mirage also running well from a high drsw chasing the pace the best speedfigures had come from the 2nd,3rd and 5th so made sense although unexpected winner.Brigliadorio was in first time visor was scrubbed along at the back 7-8ls off the pace with 2fs to go and racing awkwardly and having to be switched wide,an eyecatching run he looks still to be improving and only off 87 amongst 100 rated runners today, there are positives for all the first 5 but slightly more for the 2nd,3rd,4th and 5th.
Santefisio again the biggest eyecatcher in the field cantering over these with a furlong to go and no gaps, thats twice from last 3 runs did the same at wolves on fast run race when 3rd to pearl nation which he also should've won,he's difficult to back as the slowly run races never gets into the races and when he gets a decent pace invariably finds trouble,he'a 100 horse and although difficult to win with at least he's now going off 25/1 most races and down to a mark of 90,would be surprising if one of these races don't fall into place with guaranteed pace at some point still.
One that wasn't quite as eyecatching but was stopped in run was verse of love another with a furlong to go that was running on and stopped in run, isn't particularly well handicapped is always around the mid 80s but should get a nice little drop after 4 unplaced runs and can drop a few grades. He was third to Alfred Hutchinson jan 2014 opff 87 in this grade so on his day is capable and he will be going off decent prices now and todays run showed he's coming into form, lots of things going on in the race probably won't be much value in the first 3 next time out but the others in behind at big prices look worth following..

The 3yr old filly looks an improver,i don't like the form of this race particularly I think as all the aw tracks they are running very quick so are a bit misleading, the time of this race was 1m11.16 only .30 slower than the recent class 2s there and she sluiced up was probably infront to long as well. She was only on a mark of 67 has now run 13 times and never been out of the first four,if the times are reliable then she could easily be an 85 horse looking at how easily she won and lightly raced on the surface..

 Was hoping this would drift with fav being overbet, had to settle for 8/1...

The fav was a 'word' horse from Newmarket. Mind you the winner still collapsed from 15/2 to 9/2 this morning. Top gunning sir. The best part was all the people saying today that the form of the CD win was shite because it was 1-30 since.

I backed the fav at 7s,6s,5s, and 9/2 laid load off and had a saver on new leaf looked a 3 horse race to me did fcasts as well and oriental relation also on to follows goes and franks its Kempton form and previous best marks left it out, winners run exact same time again as well she won easy when she won penultimate run even though the form looked no good. And last time out the race was set up for finishers.I havn't backed spowarticus tomorrow still looks well handicapped with the 7 pound off, might win but looks a few front runners so will leave it alone...

Stroll patrol
Primrose valley
To lesser degree looking out for marks in nurserys the 4th and 5th
Some show
Aqlette

A weak looking fillies maiden at first glance but a very interesting time and with two less fashionable trainers finishing first and second this form will probably get underestimated and they should be overpriced. The winner has an rpr of 74 and the runner up only 62,yert the time of this race was a second quicker than the the other 2yr old maiden won by 74 rated speedy move and also a second quicker than the older handicap which was run at decent clip. The winner of the older handicap could be anything and could be 2stone in but taking the runner up as the marker castorienta rated 69 the fillies current marks are looking very generous.Stroll patrol currently has an rpr of 74 no reason for it go up on this form and the runner up primrose valley was beaten 2 1/2ls easily she may go up 3 pounds for this run to around 65.They look very useful for nurserys off 74 and 65 on these times, plus under unfashionable trainers Mcbride and Vaughn. The form of primrose valley with 3/2/2 will be likely be dismissed yet tonight she has shown on the clock she is improving on turf over a fast 6fs.
There should be some nice value with these two in nurserys, what will alsio be interesting will be the marks of runners in behind as although beaten 6ls 3/4/5th they have still run near the time of the other maiden winner and hamdicap so they could be on really nice marks and with the Jarvis horse solstalla given an easy race on debut in 6th as well.An insignificant looking maiden that could throw up some real value...

In she goes again, don't know why she wasn't shorter had beating of everything in the race...:ninja:

Think this was fastest 1m4f race run at wolves this season if not was the best race run there this sesson dream child absolutely hacking up in a very fast time totally different clas to these and also .15 quicker than gold trail from the same stable on the 15th of feb winning off 96 so comparatively dream child could be the best 1m4f horse on the aw that has been seen. Before this race stamina hadn't been prioven but tonight looked far better horse over this distance and looks worth backing for any end of season races, kings bayonet could be argued holds formdown slightly but although 8yr old he's only had 6 runs on the aw on this evidence a mark of 84 looks very generous,it looks about pace for him a decent pace the better his rating will look..Gold trail had beaten luv u whatever a nk o the 15th was 6ls behind these two tonight so looks very strong form, might be worth looking at aw finals for dream child over this trip and early prices

Rocket ronnie

Rocket Ronnie hadn't run for over 3 months so ran respectably was running on 2 furlongs out but stopped in finish,he wouldn't have been involved at finish but would've been only beaten maybe 3ls so decent run for new trainer Ed Mcmahon. He's now down to a mark of 70 lowest mark since august 2013 when winning back to back races and has been as high as 84,this was also aw debut so even more encouraging the sire Antonius pius plenty of winners on poly but more interesting just 11 runners on tapeta with 3 winners and an roi of 245%.A lot of his form has been on right handed tracks so will presumably be aimed at Kempton but with the wolves surface sire stats looking to have started well he should be ok there as well, thoroughly unexposed on the aw he has plenty of turf form even from last season that points to him being able to win races and off this mark can even take a drop in grade...

What price did it open up at Andy, looked in about 4.15 nothing priced up, imagine was 10/1-12/1, 9/2-11/2 now looks plenty short enough, 7fs may be too short a trip for it imo.

Was 12/1 around 4pm could be a lemming gamble go off crazy price or could easily got back out to 7-8/1 was worth a token bet at 10s or 12s but from the 11 draw and over 7fs
not ideal could be out the back of the telly job, whatever relying on pace collapse...

Seems to have settled about 6/1 with the NR that's probably about what it should be, don't think it'll be too far away as a few of these look to be better at 6fs. Imperator Augustus stepped up on his previous Wolver form last time and his stable are in good form, would be my EW bet against the shorter priced horses.

Everyone notices them once they've seen them on my write ups;) everywhere sp 7/2 from 12s made a few quisd on the race anyway its one of those types that will always be overbet everytime it runs now so probably zilch value..Had a felling the lemmings would keep backing it,was worth a bet at 10s and 12s the time wasn't that quick either considering how track was running and gibbons didn't want to finish in the frame if they'd gone quicker could've easily been involved at finish,he didn't want to hit the frame wehen the gap didn't come.Keep ricing up these things at 12s and 10s that go off 7/2 will do me!!

I usually see 2/3 bets a week similar to todays that I know will be a 1/3rd of original price so can have bombs on betfair and just keep laying off, cottrell was a good example on Friday it looked a 7/4 shot on its dundak form lads opened 7/1 told a few it looked value if they could get a bet on.All other books went 3/1 I was backing at 3/1 and 11/4 all day and laid off at 2.8,i asked someone who does the dundak cards they fancied it but I thought it looked a bit of a dodgepot it's sp was ended up being 13/8,not a thing I like to get to involved in sitting looking at betfair allday but a lot of the cards are so poor just easy way of making money with no effort..

God Cotrell is a rat. I had that an arb for my firm all evening. It got a very bad injury as a 2yo and is held together by glue and sticky tape. The Firm is another ex-KP horse that goes off stupid prices.

But then you don't care once you're correct about how the market interprets the form. Very interesting thread. Lots of different angles.

I'd already done the card for Chelmsford and when I looked at cottrells form it had some far better form that race was diabolical, but I didn't know the horse as never watch the form there I asked someone who's name I won't mention but works for racing channel and he told me it wasn't a dodgepot but I didn't like it looking at replays,i actually sent an email out saying I can see it leading and coming last which is exactly what it did.It would be far easier for me to sit on betfair every week and make fortunes just trading but simply doesn't interest me I just do it when I'm bored and cards are useless the worrying thing is the cards seem to be getting worse and worse more often.I only do it on the aw as its so easy to read I wouldn't bother with turf, almost inevitably if there's any outstanding value on the aw it gets massively overbet and a high % of those original value bets win at crazy prices even if they don't the gambles are very easy to spot.
