A decent maiden looking at the time, only a second slower than the class 3 won by kakatosi later on the card rated 84 the 2yr olds carried 6 pound more as well so even more eyecatching and with the 4th,5th,6th,7th only 2 3/4ls behind the first three with potential to improve past the first three there could well be some top class runners to come in runners behind and more importantly some nice value for betting.Hopefully these runners will run in maidens and you could be getting 3-4/1 for horses that are potentially 90 horses and with them being 4th,5th,6th and 7th that's very likely, hopefully will be able to keep track of these as season closes as winning maidens should be a formality.Similarly if they get chucked in something better, the likelihood is they will be overpriced anyway and with the 2yr old form looking fairly mediocre in general conditions races or listed races they could be massively overpriced...

No fancy prices on mainstream like chester street and column but that was inevitable after them winning, just need silk cravat to win on next runs for the full house...

Two nice looking maidens on the nass card, havn't really been following the irish cards this season as been doing all the cards over here but just looking briefly through the card today and this maiden although still quite compacted the time was decent only .o6 slower than the older handicapper on the card the progressive katimavik winning off 81 and recent 8th in Cambridgeshire obver there so the maiden time looks rock solid.Hopefully a maiden that will be undervalued with proximity of runners and could be some nice nusery types with two rags in 2nd and 3rd,impossible to assess how good the winner and runner up are but I would be surprised if not 90+ horses so worth checking out this maiden when marks are given. This was the fillies maiden race on the card and was .45 slower slower than following maiden won by a highly progressive winner that looks a likely 100+ horse as well.

Visually and on the clock very impressive winning by .39 quicker than katimavik but doesn't tell the whole story was good for another 4/5ls probably so must be a 100+ horse and a strong possibility of being gropup class, there must be a chance of getting underestimated betting wise as well as only looked a weak maiden on paper and had only a dundalk maiden run behind him.Looks a really interesting runner with ground like this for next couple of months and new revised mark will be very interesting,a listed race should be a formality from whats run this year and what I've seen on the clock...The biggest problem will be keeping track of it all..

Blue De Vega was sold to Qatar Racing. Nobody thought that was a poor maiden.

Nothing to worry about desperate form on poor ground, should be some decent value next season now,i don't even give results like that a second glance just dismiss it immediately..

Winner has an amazingly high knee action-one to follow on soft/heavy.
I thought GK Chesterton looked good in the first at Redcar-anyone got any opinions.

My mate owns a leg of Donjuan. Wish I did. I was going to post this morning but I thought he was tilting at windmills a little. This is what he wrote:
He goes again in France today in the 200,000 Euro group 2! Up against some top rated horses but gotta be in it to win it! Currently 14-1 so each way value. 13:50 at maisson-lafitte. First time abroad and only 6 days after York. He has a group 1 entry back in France on 1st Nov.

Donjuan ran the 6f at York in a similar time to a 100 rated older horse..same weight which is a decent figure...he also has that upward profile suggesting more.

Not convinced Smash was all at sea on the ground tbh..was soft ground at the Curragh and todays race was run in 73+ suggesting the ground wasn't that different to when he was impressive there.

seemed an odd race for Smash to go for really

Not sure what to make of that from Smash myself.

Anything anyone wants to know about Donjuan let me kmow i'll ask Andy.

Would go as far as to say they should be thinking about the Group 1 sprints next Autumn and that's presuming we don't get another wet summer.

Smash Williams will be a group 1 horse next season along with priceless the filly,a poor run means nothing not worth over analysing races when you know already how good they are potentially, just now they will be worth backing as before they got they beat probably wouldn't have been..

12/1 hills, sportsbook, lads, victor, tote, boyles, betfred Champoin sprint Saturday ascot

A big step up in class but not unexpected, although perhaps not expected this quickly but if the stable have looked closely at the finishing times of the group 3 the following day as above iot certainly suggests that already the tin man is at this level,he looks value on those times with ease of win although would still have to improve to win the race I can't see any reason why he won't be involved in finish as the run was over the same c/d the 12/1 is probably the value in the race. The other 3yr olds look interesting as well the haydock form almost looks to good to be true and as both twilight son and stratburn have no form at ascot yet then hopefully tin man will come out best of the three,a pity the race wasn't run before the weekend as ground is currently soft but looks by the weekend probably dried out.Pretty sure if ground did stay softish the fav as having no softer ground form would drift and as the tin mans win was on ground with some juice then would preferably see that as could be disadvantage to fav..

That's all the 12s gone didn't take long, think will have another chunk on at 10/1 as well think he will go off nearer 7/1 so should be able to lay off a fair bit..

Lovely run gets the ew money as well..could be challenging winner next season..

Not subtle booking Kirby for this ride when horse blatantly running over the wrong trip giving these 10ls start and although finished 6ls behind in 8th was nearest finish with no clear run at the moment looks thrown in off 68,last season improved won of 70,74 and then 80 then was 4th of 7 to tryster off 86 so mark has come crashing down.Alot of punters picked up on the mark at Chelmsford something like 16/1 opening pruices but the trip was far to short no form over a mile,so really needed a nice run down fioeld again to take that eyecatching run away so today egan booked and over wrong trip at Windsor so now should be some noce value switchedback to the aw.He could appear at Kempton again as but looks like he handles all the aw tracks, hasn't run at swell they may even try getting him down to 65 which would make him look virtually unbeatable back over 1m2fs off 65.He will get overpriced as the books are clueless pricing these tyopes up and you could see 16s for a horse that should be 3-4/1 running over 1m2fs...

Mengli khan 14/1 sporting bet 12/1 365/hills Racing post trophy

Mengli khan as yet does not have the form in the book as front two in the market but still an interesting runner hugo palmer has had group 2 winner galileo gold this season and that runner 3rd in group 1 at longchamp beating Johannes Vermeer and shogun bioth runners in Saturdays race priced at 6/1 and 12/1.You would have to assume potentially this is his best 2yr old and to be better than galileo gold so could be a little bit of value,if you took some of those formlines literally Johannes vermeeer beating sanus per aquam
at leopardstown sanus per aquam just touched off by Deauville earlier in season.Hugo palmer has plenty of formlines there to make comparisons so no reason to think he won't be up to this grade, ran very well on debut over c/d when there was a bias with the pace horses on the day he came from off the pace and the time was respectable for first ever run.A lot to ask to win but previous runners hugo palmers had this season through the above formlines suggest he will be up to this class and likely to be his best 2yr old,if he is then he should out run those prices..

12/1 sjames..

Five 6f races through the afternoon at Windsor kicking off with this fillies maiden, the winner had disappointed o n debut at Leicester but the runner up and third from the willie muir and Mc bride stables made this maiden look even weaker, but this wasn't backed up by the times through the afternoon infact the opposite. The following nursery won by 75 rated art collection was .55 slower the fillies carried 7 pound less, anonymous johns win was only .03 quickerspring loaded won the other class 4 .31 quicker and the class 6 was
a second slower.Hopefully the handicapper will be lenient with these two and coming out of less fashionavble stables they could well be overpriced, its difficult to give them set marks not knowing if the winner of the following nurserty was an improver if he was then opening marks of 75 would look very fair anything lower which is quite possible would look generous.Guessing I think they will get marks below 75 can'yt see how handicapper ca n go to 75 on form so they should be well in,might even see them on the aw as well so worth looking out for even if not running on turf again..

Wannabe yours Aw mile final 16/1 corals might see 20s somehwhere yet

Might be worth having a small bet on wannabe yours for the aw mile championships, this season has been really disappointing after winning last year at goodwood beating hiors de combats as a 3yr old the winning time at goodwood that day was 1.3 seconds quicker than 96 rated red avenger winning the betfred mile was an unbelievable win from position he got in and looked different class to the field that day to get up after being stopped and hampered. He looked a group 1 horse and one to follow, since that run has just seemingly gone backwards for no apparent reason to the point where he's now only rated 104 ,he's been getting beat in midfield in a few group races but based on last years win at goodwood I find it hard to believe he won't recapture that form at some point and entered in the aw championships on what will be fast surfaces might just suit. The 16/1 could look massive over the next few months, some of the losses on the turf I think you can put down to ground as the run at goodwood was so quick and the way he won I can't believe that he would be the same horse on anything better than fast ground so I'm willing to forgive some of the runs this season.

Can actually see mengli khan turning into a fairly decent trade, you've got two clear on the form and then the potentioal of the palmer horse I would think segal or taylor if picking one in the race it would have to be mengli khan and the probability is one of them will make this a race to bet in with fav so short wouldn't surprise me to see it on the day 8/1 or shorter..

A 140,000 as yearling winning off 49 tonight at chelmsfiord related to junipier pass winner on dirt over 1m4 and turf 1m 6f rpr of 114 dam related to storm vcat and sire canford cliffs so obviously disappointing to be running in these races. Was stepped up in trip tonight hacking up by 7ls,the race looked very poor on paper so beat very little and a rise of at least a stone inevitable that will take him to minimum of 63,considering the pace wasn't frenetic slow early pace the time was still good for a 2yr old rated just 49.He will probably be little value next time out evens maybe slight odds on even with rise, although think he's worth following just out of interest you would have to think he's probably capable of running to a mark of 70 looking at tonights race.
