Royal marskell,cocozza

Royal marskell and cocozza eyecatchers both trained by ken clutterbuck has very few winners and one of these may well be his next winner.Royal marskell was left 5ls in this race switched to race in what was the middle of the track and nearest finish, still lightly raced only 5 runs could well be overpriced on next runs with unfashionable trainer in the last few weeks of the season.Similarly cocozza ging away lots of ground but from the 1 draw being a bigger disadvantage, was under pressure for most of the race looked beat 3fs ouit and still stayed on to finish 4th.Cocozza won't be as much value as the other as was rated 103 in 2011 a horse that punters recognize and back but still might pick up a little race!!

verse of love

This was an eyecatching run by verse of love as was squeezed out giving an 8l start running on to be nearest finish, has not looked anywhere near the form of last season when winning off 83 at chester beating strictly silver and bannock. Also followed up this run with a 4th to mister music and boom and bust he looks in good form now and probably with a decent draw at chester or even switched to the aw looks on a winnable mark.

Like clockwork same track pound lower, decent draw

gabrials gift

Gabrials gift sluiced up in this claimer has looked exposed but the time of this race 1m11.60 and the ease of the win suggests that a mark of 75 looks generous at least over this c/d.Already two class 4 handicaps run over the c/d on Wednesday the times of the winners 1m11.68 and 1m11.99 winners off 77 and 81 gabrials gift looked far superior to those performances and looks worth following at least over this c/d and could well be underestimated if the times are a good guide.Looking at that time it would be hard to estimate how much more there is to come.

pivotal silence,gabrial the duke

Reasonable time for the trip at lingfield on the aw and both horses have been disappointing switched to the turf both been beaten at short prices on a few runs. They now become more interesting and should be a bit of value back on the aw and underestimated and still ope to improvement on the surface off marks around 70.

al thakhira

Although obvious the way this filly quickened on soft ground on debut was big eyecatcher there looks loads of improvemet to come and the time compared favourably to the maiden won by gravitational rated 80.The fillies maiden only .74 slower she looks listed class already to me on this run and with so many very weak races around at that level I think she will be value during the autumn in something a bit better.

Jamaican bolt

Got turned over again on Wednesday but again the ground turned against him drying over the 2 days I think was left in just to get a run.He never travelled in the race and think this was still a decent run running on to be nearest finish on ground to fast free zone was rated 105 last season and jiroft had run well at Epsom off 102 behind duke of Firenze yet was only off 92 in this race. This form could be far better than it first appears, jamaican bolts still only had the 12 lifetime runs and although never gets underestimated in the betting is probably worth following blind now the autumn and ground has arrived..

horsted keynes

The time on what was probably just slower than standard was decent for the ease of the win and on seasonal debut and only third run.Hand's 'n heels win off a mark of 76 and also .85 quicker than free spin winning the second div hosted Keynes looks well handicapped and again could be another heading for liseted class.Probably one of the few decent looking prospects seen on the aw so far this season

Bright approach
Marsh daisy

A really impressive winner half sister to Nichols canyon, the time of the race quicker iof the the three races on the day but more relevant .63 quicker than the following days handicap run on faster ground over the same c/d.The maiden win .63 fgaster than top diktat winning off 78 in the older handicap on faster ground off level weights plus looked loads of improvement to come. She looks like she could be listed class already and the 4th marsh daisy not getting a clear run in the straight having to be switched to outer of field and not given hard race she looks one to follow with step up in trip, related to 5 winners up to 2 mile..

Amulet

This may have been an ordinary handicap but this filly only racing off 72 was one of the most impressive handiocap winners I've see
n on this heavy ground, she made all the running and then quickened to hack up by 9ls looking value for a lot more.Normally I would put a linre through this wioth her mark now rocketing but she was so impressive and was backed up by the time comparatively very good compared to the rest of the card and she has loads more to come. Her new mark will be interesting especially if she runs again on this ground, visually she couldn't have been more impressive i'd hope she may not given a mark higher than 85 unlikely but even if she does she may prove herself to be far better than that mark. She looks one to keep onside and may yet turn out to be better than a handicapper especially on this sort of ground, very interesting runner for eve Johnston Houghton.:ninja:

An interesting sprint and think it will throw up plenty of winners, the time of this race was .65 slower than the previous days 2yr old race run there but the ground was a lot slower so comparituively these could be different class. The previous nights class 2 3yr old handicap was only .03 slower than todays Victoria cup and although that race was reasonable they were pretty exposed 3yr olds the time difference only .03 between them and the 102 rated progressive gabriels lad.The other races also on the card showing how the ground had gone from good to good/sft through the day, backing up the 5f race times.
The winner moonraker was the only runner to go with the pace and finish in the first 5 the next four all finishers so even better performance, although the haggas horse mubtaghaa had to be switched wide so the looked of comparative ability. Some lovely pedigress the winner related to group therapy, half brother bungle in the jungle 108,muarrab 113 and waveband.Winslow staying on at finish us pedigree half brother breders cup juvenile new years day 118,dam 113 and the 4th was an eyecatcher not getting clear run the hannon second string slightly better than this run as stopped in run.To add a bit more substance to the form, the paco kid was easily brushed aside in 6th betaen over 7ls and he had been 4th to kasb on debut in newbury race that has already thrown up 3 winners and unlucky loser in kibaar. This maiden along with last weeks at Newmarket look the best 2yr old seen so far by some way!!!

It ran behind abseil I put on here after the decent time at Yarmouth, wasn't happy when I saw abseil was put on a mark of 91 seemed harsh but ran a cracker at chester from poor draw to be third but that probably means it won't be much value in future.Similarly the varian horse put on 77,purely because of that abseil run but has only had 4 runs and open to improvement,i don't think that was much of a race today so wouldn't be jumping out at me as the varian horses are overbet. The one thing I do like about it though is it's run well on fast ground at Yarmouth and then again today on slower ground,so would be interesting to see how it goes on faster ground over the same trip.It wasted a bit of ground today so may well win just the prices may not be up to much.

Thanks it caught my eye in the Abseil race and then when you mentioned Abseil it sort of stock.

I'll keep an eye on betfair next time it runs was intersting today it was taken wide around the bend and then brought inside runners to make his challenge.

Thanks again cheers :)

I always give them a second look the varian horses like eton forever never raced till 3 and is still improving,he brings 3 and 4 yrolds out after lay offs and they do improve. The only drawback is usually the prices books rarely give anything away on them.

The great war

Very impressive winner of o'briens and already 7/2 fav for Coventry, probably on whats been seen so far and on the clock a justifiable favourite although the great war has now had two runs and last time out looked decent on the clock.
He hacked up in this race won by 3ls,joseph o'bruien looking round over a furlong out could've won by more than double the winning distance.
Taking that into account and the ease of win,was still only .43 slower than the 74 rated 3yr old in following handicap but as mentioned could've won conservatively by double the winning distance. He also carried 14 pound more than the 74 rated handicap winner which makes the form look reliable and rock solid.Hopefully a few from todays maiden and last weeks will run again to give some idea where the others stand in relation to the great war on the clock..

This class 4 run on Friday night could be good form for the grade, time compared well to the class 2 won by brazos over the 7fs wining off 95.The first 4 in the class 4 all lightly raced winner has only had 4 runs, winning off 80 runner up donncha just the four runs and first time out off 76 this season. The third cricklewood green only the 4 runs off 83 raced slightly further away from the stands side than first ttwo so may have been on slightly slower ground and thanks harry only rated 74 only had 3 runs so he has lots of options and can drop in class. There was 8ls back to the 4th and 7th basil berry was beaten 11ls had won by 4 1/2ls last time out the form looks solid..

Stampede

Stampede looked impressive to me,hard to evaluate the form with 66 rated 66/1 shot in second but this race was .19 quicker than the maiden winner rpr 70 and stampede rated 74 carrying 2 pound more using those ratings then you could say pretty accurate. He looked different class to me,gave them 5ls start mnever got a run till the last furlong which will actually keep his mark down won by 1 1/4ls so can only see 4/5 pound rise with second rated 66.He probably wouldv;e won 4/5ls with a clear run and I thought this win was impressive looked different class to these, his new mark will underestimate this win presuming the maiden and the handicap are reasonable markers. He will undoubtedly get further and looks interesting runner, although it will probablty be his next run where he will be most value on new rating although will be short!!

Any thoughts on Straight Gin tomorrow Andy? Last run was dreadful but looks to have a squeak on previous run.

That's the spirit

An eyecatching win as it was debut run and hacked up the winning distance could easily have been another 4-5ls and the previous two handicaps might be point to his potential mark on this run.His winning time only .18 slower than manchestar winning off 8-9 rated 72 and the second div 1.06 seconds slower than hilly billy boy rated 82 carrying 9-5.His win looked the equivalent of hillybilly boy which would suggest he's probably run around the 90 mark already. After this win will be running against similar types probably won't be any value but worth checking out the mark he gets as there could be a fair bit of improvement on top as well.

Streets of new york

This was debut run for brian Ellison for streets of new York 5 pound out of handicap but showing massive improvement on previous irish form, hadn't shown anything in Ireland since winning September 2011 so another shrewd looking purchase.I don't do nh form anymore but this was a class two handicap so was competing in decent grade, both winner and runner up from this race although winner 10 looked progressive. The third local hero has since been runner up to clever cookie, that winner has yet gone on again by 8ls,the 4th runswick royal has also won again off 139 winning same class 2 streets of new York directyly behind in 5th running off 114 now off 111.
Quite interesting that Ellison has run it twice on the aw at swell actual debut run on flat bar bumper runs runner up to mondlicht of johnstons that horse could be anything and today dropping back to 7fs.He was unsurprisingly left 10ls at stsrt yet made up ground to eventually only be beaten 1 1/2ls,i havn't watched other replays of the horse but tom eaves didn't go for the whip once in the straight. It wasn't a non trier as was given a decent ride just interesting if horse goes better without whip which might be something to look out for.
Todays maiden was .14 slower than loud winning the handicap off 69(could be well handicapped on surface)about 2 1/2ls quicker than streets of new York but streets of new York carrying 12 pound more over an inadequate trip.
Streets of new yorks handicap mark is worth looking at anything around 70 I would think is a fair mark looking at todays times and already Ellison is getting improvement out of the 7yr old and the hurdle form similarly from briefly looking at that run off current mark he has a well handicapped dual purpose horse. What will be interesting is streets of new yorks trip on the flat as these distances over a mile and 7fs has held his own but will surely improve for step up in distance, sire dalakhani.Equally those two bits of hurdle form were going right handed kelso and musselburugh which maybe significant,an interesting one to follow off lowly marks even as 7yr old!!

Sebastian beach
Luck of the game

This looked a very good race for the grade a classified stakes race running off levels the winner rated 75 runner up 71,ryan moore giving the son of yeats a positive ride and looking beat 2fs out eventually the stamina kicked in and in doing so producing a decent time. The winning time .49 quicker than the earlier handicap won by certavi 83 for older handicappers carrying 9-3 as opposed to their 9-0.Based on these two races the 3yr olds look nicely habndicapped off current marks and there should be some easy pickings for them on next runs especially the second. The second had only the one run seemed to be hacking up with 2 furlongs to go,would be harsh to say he didn't staty because of the time but unlike the winner 1m2fs would suit as well as the 1m4fs they look two to follow off these marks.

An interesting fillies maiden at sailsbury and these early meetings there do throw up some nice progressive types, songbird won on the card last season although I don't think these will be in that bracket.Infact they maybe needed to treat with slight caution as both winner and runner up were hooded. The 4yr old conceding the weight 10-0 in winning from a long way back ,but interestingly running .95 quicker than crystal nymph winning the 3yr old handicap class 4 earlier on the card off 8-10 rated 72 her future mark will be really interesting. So the times and ratings look very good for the maiden winner and runner up 3yr old desert snow,if taking thiose times literally you could give desert snow a rough rating of 84 and the improvement on top.I'm not convinced the earlier handicap was much of a race but still makes this maiden look pretty decent. Also the third is worth mentioning now after 3rd run,she also ran .40 quicker than the handicap winner and carried more weight yet her present rpr is only 70 hopefully the 4th cascading won't affect her mark and she could also be well handicapped. She looked like she had this won 2fs out just probably being infrint to soon. She will be able to contest siome very weak handicaps in the 70s..

Persun
Expensive date

This race is usually not great in terms of the best 2yr olds but the tume compared favourably with alutiq winning on the same card last season, the winner and thirds form hadn't look that great but the time appears about right for the grade. That being the case then persun and expensive date have run well on their debuts only beaten 1l and 3/4,persun filly out of sir percy and dam 2m hurdle and chase winner. She will surely be a big improver with step up in trip and mick channon has already shown he has some nice 2 yr olds and the stables horses are running well.Expensive date paul cole runner looking outpaced over this trip, related to bungleinthejungle, group therapy and waveband. The clock suggests they've run well for debut runs,so should at least be interesting early season and may just get underestimated in perhaps weak listed races...
