Giggs, here is what trainer said about spirit of edinburgh

21.15 Spiritofedinburgh showed signs of returning to form last time and he has certainly tumbled down the weights. He should have a massive chance here and looks very overpriced!

Last time out ran in new headgear think tonights race was over 3 seconds slower although the betting 10s on betfair is all you needed to know should've been half that price especially when bird of life won..someone was confident laying those prices..At the 1/2 mile pole he dropped it out 25ls disgraceful wasn't outpaced,he just let a couple go past then hit the straight hitting it when 15ls behind laughable,no intention of being involved.

Raucuos 10/1 365/skybet/sunbets/victor

Raucuos looked like was going to progress to a group horse at one point, still only 5yr old and 19 runs so not impossible could come on again but has a bit to pro9ve after being withy William haggas and now joined Robert cowell stable.Did actually run 3rd to the tin man in a group 3 back in 2016 and 3rd in stewards cup off 102 as 3yr old, finished 2016 with a 3rd to shalaa in a group 3 some really nice form.
Start opf 2017 ran its only race on the aw at Chelmsford winning a conditions race, then 4th to perfect pastures in hot little race at Windsor, then 8th in the Wokingham eyecatcher unlucky in run, next six runs was disappointing never looking like same horse even though ran a very good race in the stewards from a huge disadvantage on stands side only 12th but was very good ruin.Looked to lose interest after that race and has tumbled to a mark of just 94 and joining the cowell stable that does well with these types. All its best foprm is really on straight tracks, these turning tracks very little form but off just a mark of 94 he has a very interesting handicapper for the season and could easily get it back to best
may even get a little improvememt out of it as only 5yr old..First time out asking a lot but worth a small bet in what isn't a brilliant race..If these pruces don't contract would think its probably not ready first run so betting will be very interesting..

Masaar 1/2 365/skybet/lads 4/7 sportsbook/ppower/victor 8/15 10bet/totesport/betfred/hills/sunbet/corals/188bet

Masaar made a nice debut at newmarket in second div of two maidens was over 1/2 second quicker than earlier div won by an 84 rated runner that's won its last race and was also a second quicker than the 0-75 nursery run on the same card,so decent run for debut.Came out and won its maiden at lingfield in a very slowly run race but looked impressive when quickening off that slow pace, also horse is eyecatching flashy chestnut with real distinct action based on the debut run you could've had it near 90,a strange entry to be running at wolves as coild be a nice handicapper for the turf season.Think the main angle could be trading as any improvement on top something might have to run to 95+ in this race at least and this could go off nearer 1/- 1/5,saturdays usually best day for trading these shorties, obviously if there's money for others then that would be significant but probably will get bet on trainer and jock reputation plus all the positives from form should guarantee it going off a very short price..

Drifting a lot for a horse that looked 90+ when last seen so littler opff putting, just hoping that's the money for others hopefully creates an even better trading opportunity now especially as prices easier tio get,be interesting to see what happens anymore drift you would think horse masy have had some problem..

Got a free bet out of laid off at 1,46 very strange drift went out to 1.71,never looked like getting involved beaten by a horse that had two runs that looked mediocre and a newcomer, have noticed this with quite a lot of varuan horses they look very decent and come out and run way below theor form at short prices...Be interwsting to see how it runs back on turf, certainly would ignore that run.Raucous similarly Crowley just riding hand's n heels track probably didn't suit another worth watching out for on turf, just out for run today plus no =headgear on either..
Also looking at the times the maiden was almost a second slower than the 0-75,that wouldn't be a shock normally but would've expected it to be very quick if masmaar got beat,so form looks mediocre at best..

Clement 20/1 365 16/1 sportsbook/ppower WON

Will have a token bet on Clement, ran a really good race over this c/d in a claimer beaten 3ls off level weights with horses rated in the mid 70s and 80s and in a decent time back in feb, hasn't shown anything l;ike that form since but it's usually due to lack of pace makes him look very slow if no gallop, was dropped in class last time and still struggled back up in class tomorrow.Has now dropped to a mark of 61,last time ran off this mark won by 5ls,probably relying on tavener going off quick with something else and that's not guaranteed as tavener ran this afternoon just won so that would lessen chances anyway, worth a small bet off this mark..always find the betting interesting on this horse as keeps drifting like a barge by the off..Maybe horse has become to difficult to trust as always gets left but would like to see a fast run race to see if can back up that earlier lingfield run.Really should be a decent trade at these prices all firms going 16/1,but as mentioned has drifted numerous times although may still trade quite well tomorrow at these prices.

20/1 victor..16/1 hills/marathonbet/totesport/betfred/betway/corals/sunbets..

Will have a small ew multiple as well was looking for better prices on these really..

Southwell 3.25

Showboating 7/1 365

Showboatings in right grade now but there maybe one or two that could still be impriving especiallykyllachys tale hacked up here by 7ls when lowly rated but went onto the turf and won a better class race so could be more to come on this surface.Showboating I put up at 25/1 last season in this grade in the march,sp was 7/1 so not much in price tomorrow back against some unexposed horses,he's another that will be relying on them coming back and could run well but unexposed horses to beat..

Kempton 8.45

Bird for life 2/1 365 WON

Bird for life keeps contesting these low grade races over 1m4fs at Kempton race taken away last time out on reversal of photograph, can hardly say there's much value in pruce beaten in this grade several times again looks pace dependant, last time out was upped in class into a 0-60 the time was very good for the grade so the horse is potentially better than mark if they go quick enough.Problem with these 1m4fs races around Kempton 90% of them are run at a crawl,it looks like the horse even thiogh looking exposed when getting right conditions is going to win more races off mark still in low 50s,off 51 tomorrow.

Spirit of edinburugh 8/1 skybet/ppower/sportsbook/totesport/betfred/marathinbet/ 9/1 victor/365

Spirit of edinburugh was 4th in the above race with bird for life as said was run in a very good time and although beaten over 5 1/4ls was still 2 seconds quicker than the 2nd division, again it looks like if they go quick enough then spirit of edinburugh is better than current mark of just 49,got dropped 2 pound for that run and was in first time tps.Would keep these two runners in notebook if races are run at a crawl as they look capable of better off current marks, but their running styles out the back they need a decent pace..

Really...

What's the story with ozgood and our rita (presumably the same deranged person) constantly sniping at you giggsy? Did you shag his mother or something? Your picks speak for themselves so why he feels the need to suggest that it's all a load of random bollix is perplexing.

Same old faces same agenda not the same persons they just know each other, there are plenty of idiots around you expect them on threads like this out of hundreds that look in i'm amazed there's not more, always find it interesting that what is the most successful betting thread on the net anyone would go to the bother of joining up and using usernames to have a bitter and twisted dig. You'd think they'd have better things to do,am sure their kids, wives etc would be really proud of them if they read what they posted..You've got to bepretty envious to bother doing something like that especially middle aged blokes..it's always happened though if you went through the thread you get a few every year, but the ones who post on here now I know from betfair and other forums..incredible how some get so angry about something so good...Obviously the more they post then the angrier you know they are so it gets quite amusing, especially with the winning run.

Have never seen it break so quick,so thought it was going to be involved at finish but he just seemed to let it drop back from good position also was hanging left handed I never realized but headgear was left off as well, think the one infront got an easy lead as well 1m11 isn't a great time for class 2 race there either,he could've rode it out and got 3rd no doubt. Also never shown anything on turning tracks, the main positive must be showing early speed as at the end of last season horse had lost interest always getting outpaced, cowell usually gets them back so well handicapped,be interesting to see if any headgear gets put back on..

Looking through the Raucous form, all his best runs came in strongly run races- including his one AW win in course record time at Chelmsford.
The way it panned out yesterday, they were never going to come back to him, and his jockey seemed to accept that postion from 2f out. The RP race reader summed it up nicely with "never enough pace to threaten". imo.

 yeah we went to a boozer in Telford ... lovely gaff full of bruvvers in taxis praying on the under 16 club

Harrys angel 4/1 sportsbook/7/2 ppower 3/1 365

Harrys angel still potentially one of the best sprinters for years, clocked up a monstrous time at haydock last season and beat tasleet twice last season by over 5ls and 4ls in group 1s at Newmarket at haydock, has always been a bit keen and tactics have beaten him a couple of times was beaten three times at ascot last season, they were still good runs even last time out 5/4 but very soft ground at ascot was cantering with furlong to go and a combination of being taken on and ground still looked best horse in race.
Hopefully this season will be even better although persisting with these races on very soft heavy ground are not showing him at his best esoecially at tracks like ascot, haydock can get away with it,yorks going to suit his running style even if on soft ground if it comes up quicker than soft can't really see it being bigger than 2/1 tops,if comes up quick will be heavily backed and probably more like 6/4.Tsleets the second fav at 5/1 really can't see how thart ones going to beat it on this track even if it comes up soft.
Just hope last season wasn't his best and there's more to come as the win at haydock last season as just 3yr old you'd be expecting him to be even better over next two seasons, has only the eight lifetime runs and hoping that tjis season there's some fast ground around,he's never been bigger than 9/2 in all runs yet on the best of l;ast seasons form as his last run and 5/4 although short price first time out anything above 2/1 would be a big pruce and just can't see how he can be bigger on the day..

11/4 skybet..

Also looking at the world snooker champioships and buying century breaks, the tables have been a complete farce for several years playing like club tables last week in china open 77 centurys,if the tables are similar set up then will be looking at buying only market so far is betfred 4/5 +80 will wait to see other books first but prices should be up soon..

Sea the waves 8/1 365..

Just a token bet on this, trained by emma owen 7 winners in 4 seasons usually regardless of how good the form of hers are I would put a line through them and they generally drift like barges and run accordingly. At least this one is lightly raced just four runs, was handicap debut last time out over c/d in this grade a 0-65 a running on 3rd behind coverham won again yesterday, missed the break slightly behind coverham and was difficult to come off the pace in that race on march 23rd,only runner to make up any ground.Trainers had 3 places out of her last 6 runners so maybe the best time if ever to back one,as it's only had the four runs and open to improvement then could run well, couldn't be overconfident with this trainer but probably would've been 5/1 with anyone else..Connemara queen came back from a break also yesterday, had been disappointing on last few runs but this is its class butler has this runner, weloof and mime dance hard to know which is best as Connemara queen has the track form..

The obligatory drift..

Don't bother putting up to follows anymore, did a few at the begininnig of last season like benbatl after winning debut at dopnny now rated 123 but not even sure I ever backed it these SBS horses you rarely get any value on them.Thought i'd mention this one a 4yr old maing debut on fibresand, winning time 1m39.80 fastest time this year over a mile and just from memory probably fastest ever debut by any horse to run at the track, all the AW tracks at the moment are running as quick as they ever have so they could be a bit misleading but this one ran green and wide and then startyed picking up even though under hands n' heels, combination of time and the way it won impossible to give it a mark as tracks so quick but could well be looking at a 100 horse at least on this surface.Think it's interesting as if it never turns up on the turf and over in Dubai then could be a bit of value in pruices even if runs on turf although sure distorted humour was top class dirt horse, still progeny do well on turf as well...

Two in a day very unusual and again on the clock 1m37.26 for a debut run at chelmfsord over the mile am not sure but again could be quickest debut by any runner previously, marco botti looks like he's got another nice aw horse at worst.Beat a 90 rated runner with ease in second don't know if I would take that at face value, but would be hard not to think that 90 mark would be a starting point at least on the aw.Out of dansili rated 126 so of interest when switched to turf as well..
