Saying someone is 'far left' isn't the same as calling them 'loony left'. One is an opinion, possibly a fact, the other is derogatory and never serves to take a conversation forward.

I don't think I've ever heard anyone called 'loony right'. Maybe the term just doesn't have the same alliterative appeal.

Mike said when he was president the first time, that he was intent on creating a dynasty. I can’t quite get my head round what’s happening in America at the moment. At least le Pen can’t stand in France now, so that’s one down.

Crininal indictments didn't do Trump any harm did they; quite the reverse

The chances of the National Rally winning the presidency in 2027 have shortened overnight

As I said at the time it wasn't good versus evil -is tearing up the constitution any worse than being a bystander to a genocide.
 
I thought in the run up to the election the criminal charges would end up helping Trump.

The Americans love a good legal case, especially when politics is involved. Just look at O.J Simpson.

Trump is also absolutely capable of bystanding a genocide. He hasn’t stopped the Israel-Hamas war, has he.

In fact, he seems to have given Israel carte blanche to escalate the genocide/ethnic cleansing.
