Equine Retirements, Long Term Injuries and Departures

Beginning to think my list of horses for the TTF this season is jinxed, must be about ten or a dozen I've had to change now.

I thought he looked fantastic in this photo - probably better than he did while in training so he's obviously enjoying himself hugely. Great to see!
 
Coupled with Mega Fortune in the space of only a week or so.

Even as a fan of the sport dealing with this side of the game never gets any easier...

God knows what it must be like for owners, trainers, etc
 
Terrible news, absolutely devastating for all her connections :(.

I was looking forward to seeing her this season too.

Gordon is having a real torrid time of it. Lucky Pass just made a lovely comeback but broke down after the line and has been put down. Awful news.
 
Big fella thanks was put down after Cheltenham when he was injured, not sure that was common knowledge?
Is mentioned in an article from the guardian about veteran races.

Gigginstown's fragile-but-talented Lucky Pass was unfortunately PTS yesterday, after sustaining a shoulder injury just beyond the winning-post at Galway.
