Here's my note from that race.

16/05/25 NEWB 2:25 SOVEREIGN SEA
Was trapped in a small pocket for a few strides, accounting for that could have won, by 1L? The pair pulled clear, but I say it could have won, it probably couldn't have done, as the horse looks like it refuses to take the lead. Kept looking at winner. Jockey would straighten it's head and drive, but it would look at winner again. Now has a string of 2nds. Visor look worth a try to help it focus. Obviously looks a winner without a penalty if entered again quickly, but would seem to be a place bet unless headgear tried. Ground was riding gdFM as beating STD's well on the day.
 
SOVEREIGN SEA entered to run Friday (the 13th) at York. Will be interesting to see if some headgear is tried. Warren Fentiman booked taking 5 off.


Will see who drops out by then, but at the moment doesn't look like I'll be getting involved.

Noted the above - he's reopposing the horse that beat him that day, Burrito but I do think he could turn the form around tomorrow.

Couple from today:
Spy Chief - very taking winner for Gosden at Yarmouth. He's a Kingman half brother to Al Suhail so I imagine he's going on to better things judging by the way he won today.

Blue Bolt took the 3.50 at Newbury today in good fashion and she's nice but the filly she beat Majaz on only her second start made up a huge amount of ground and is one to keep an eye on. Majaz is by Dubawi out of Cushion a decent filly (who was by Galileo out of Attraction - you don't get much nicer than that!)
 
It throws up a few winners from time to time. Just need to remember when they’re running...or put them in my tracker which seems to overflowing right now and I can’t remember for the life of me why half are there anyway.....😂

There is nothing that ruins my day more than a horse in the tracker that you can't remember why! Always add a simple note to them.
 
It's going to be some Sussex Stakes if he goes plus Rosallion plus Field of Gold! Plus Henri apparently...think I might need to sweet talk a friend to get me tickets.
