You certainly had the value on that bet Betsmate

Tried to settle a bar tab with value last night :ninja:

I hear you Martin. The emotional trauma I go through when the likes of
Alhaaly get beat is a form of torture. I couldn't sleep the night before, I manipulated the Betfair market (Bet365 opened up a genuine 25/1 shot 6/1 this morning) and got the bet down at the biggest price available all day of 6/1. After then informing my team of lemmings who would follow me off a cliff I spend the day monitoring the market. By the time the race comes I'm exhausted. This is why I don't punt everyday, how could you put yourself through this everyday? Myself and Luke chatted about this over a beer and I think it's an important factor in how you approach betting. It's not necessarily about risking money you can't afford to lose but possibly about not wasting energy/emotion that you can't afford to lose or could put to better use.

Evening racing just prolongs the agony :)

Yes, you get the maximum emotional rollercoaster ride backing a horse first thing, that halves in price during the day and trades at 1/10 in running and gets nutted on the line. We never spend too much time thanking our lucky stars when one we've backed goes in on the right end of a tight finish - we usually just pat ourselves on the back and wrap ourselves up a warm cozy blanket of our own brilliance.... Yesterday is gone and tomorrow, today will be yesterday, time waits for no man or woman so....

Charismas Birthday all in 4/1 Skybet for the second last in Dundalk tonight with a stake saver on Thats A Fret.... :ninja:

This is more of the emotions and energy wasted syndrome and it's still six hours to post time.....

Yeah I hear you. Chance for my favourite jockey Chris Hayes on Flashy Falcon 7.45. Can't get a pony matched at 8 on Betfair. It's pathetic for early price bets.

It would be no harm to him if he picked up the Deegan mounts now that Supple is out of the picture. Thought the previous race would have been his best chance on the night...:ninja: He gave those two last night peaches of rides. Under-rated jock who just needs a bit of luck.

He will get the Deegan rides. Both Sharalam and Flashy Falcon have chances but I'd rather back FF. Quite a fun card tonight.

BTW why are you saying nice things about Hayes now when you jocked him off earlier in the year?

I like him, very bright young man and has a mischievous sense of humour, he's ridden for us plenty of times but I will put it this way...he is not our luckiest jockey :ninja:

So I can relay the message assuring him that he will get the ride on Copper Dock and any subsequent horses you have a leg in?

Further Proof a N/R

My free green to €300 on betfair gone to waste. Sick couple of days!
