King George VI Chase - Boxing Day, Kempton

Exactly..........a grand a piece. Or just don't bother paying the training fees as he screwed up the entry
 
but what would they do it when the ground is likely to have good in description and Lexus won't. Lexus will also ensure stonger stamina test than Kempton. Why pay 10K for nothing? He's bound to take some of these on in the GC anyway.
 
does anyone get the idea they never had any intention of running in the KG?..that quote a few posts back that Granger put up doesn't suggest to me that he will even turn up..its full of get outs...if if if

i'm not buying the mistake to enter..you have a horse like Coneygree..do you really have such a lot of work to do to do his entries?

I'll put up the 10k if they give me half the prizemoney. Anyone got a phone number!

Truth is they don't fancy the King George because they know he'll be far more vulnerable round Kempton than on a stiffer track. If he were mine he wouldn't run at Kempton or Leopardstown and I'd be waiting for Cheltenham at the end of January as his prep, and then looking to double up with the Gold Cup and either Aintree or Punchestown.

These were my thoughts as well. There's only one day which matters in their calendar.
 
Mixed reports - some say he'll miss the festive meetings, others that he's done for the season. I'm no vet so haven't got a clue how long such a fracture takes to recover.
 
I see they're all backtracking now. Definitely misses Kempton but not yet ruled out for the season.
