King George Vl chase

powered from the back of the last like he always seems to at leop. if there's been a better staying chaser than him since kauto & denman i can't think of who it would be.

As you were...

Well done maurice ,as with the last few days can't have any complaints. GDC was flawless there and the way he's powered away at the end you'd have to think if he's fit and we'll the Gold cup hatrick lands barring accidents. Fact to file made one small mistake which had no real effect I think he looked very keen in the first half of the race which probably didn't aid his cause. No complaints though.

And agree with Granger he'd be up there with Kauto and Denman.

Far too much made of Galopin in the Durkan. Back up to 3m plus is key. FTF did far too much in the race and you knew he wouldn't see it out well enough. For the Gold Cup it needed the result other way round to spice it up.

I can't see how anything that finished behind GDC today is going to beat him at Cheltenham. It might be worth considering two horses that intentionally swerved todays race -Montys Star goes to Tramore on New Years Day and Gerri Colombe heads to Windsor -both are available at 16/1 with the bookies and bigger on the machine.Dutching the two of them could be a value alternative to backing GDC.

I’m quite surprised to see GDC still available at 6/4 for the Gold Cup after today’s rout. I wouldn’t be too surprised to see Fact to File go for the Ryanair
