Lexus Chase

I can't stop laughing at those who though Tidal Bay had no chance.

What price Bob's Worth now?

Flemenstar can go QM route now.

Flem doesnt stay. Can we agree that now? SDC needs to tidy up his jumping but him and Tidal are the only worries for Bob.

Flemenstar best horse in the race just not at that trip.

Tidal Bay was the percentage call. Thought Davy did well keeping Ruby in just when he was making ground.

Flemenstar is some jumper. Would love him to go the 2m route.

thats made things more complicated than ever..what a finish
well. fair to say unless something unexpected happens bobs worth will be a solid favourite for the gold cup after that franking of the form.

sir des champs would have likely won that if he jumped better. i still think he'd be my joint 2nd favourite. alongside long run.

We know Tidal Bay operates at a certain level and he ran pretty close to the pound with FL from the Hennessy but you had to hope pre-race that one of the big two would be better than that. Flemenstar doesn't stay three miles though and SDC jumped terrible.

Bob's Worth will be too short for the Gold Cup as there is every chance SDC could clean his jumping up at Cheltenham and Silviniaco Conti has none nothing wrong.

IF, and its an IF, there is a Gold Cup horse in that race, its Sir Des Champs. Didnt jump today, and stayed on every bit as well as the winner. More impressed with him here than at Punchestown.

Makes you wonder what Tidal Bay could have achieved had he been with Paul Nicholls throughout his career.

Flemenstar travel's and jumps so well that it would be exciting to see him in the Champion Chase against Sprinter Sacre.

Bobs is inferior to Tidal Bay though on the newbury form isn't he?

Personally think Flemenstar was beaten by ride.

Jumped so well should have just let him get on with it instead of wasting all the energy tugging him back.

He's run some race on that ground over that trip and on quicker ground at Cheltenham come March and a change of tactics I wouldn't be so sure he won't win the Gold Cup.

Tidal Bay has probably run to 170 or so the last twice. How can you possibly be depressed by that?! It is wonderful to see a near 12 year old do this, and blow away some hype horses (sdc, hc).

Bravo to trainer and jockey.

jesus that was cracking stuff, pure theatre
.thought fl had him there i think cooper did aswel.

Flemenstar was a bit too keen on that ground. Not mad keen, but any sign of keenness was liable to be punished. His quick jumping was actually a hinderance to getting him relaxed. On better ground at a nice pace he might still get the Gold Cup distance. I suspect he wont be given the chance after that. The fact that the two front runners didn't jump also didn't help.

Maybe I'm wrong about the above, but he is still by far the highest class horse at a slightly shorter distance than any of the others are at any distance.

No doubt but today's race was run over 3m, hence why he was not the best horse in today's race. Otherwise we could just start talking about which of them is best over 5 furlongs.

Still an arsehole then.

Bobs goes like a dream at Cheltenham. Tidal wont get near him. SDC the only danger

no evidence that Bobsworth will be better suited than TB though..in fact with TB's finishing kick likely to be better over that stiff 3m2 i would think exactly the opposite tbh

TB was not really suited to todays race as far as a test of stamina is concerened.. but has still won
