Last weeks Lincoln Trial at Wolves often throws up pointers to the big race, and this term's was no exception.
4yo have a good record in the Donny contest and Tacarib Bay (33/1 generally) ran a race full of promise in the trial. From his unpromising draw (11 of 13) , Sean Levey had little choice but drop him in and gave him a mighty ride to finish a running on 5th around a sharp track that was far from ideal.
Has plenty of straight track experience, placing at Ascot and Newmarket, latterly 3rd in the valuable Buckingham Palace handicap on Champion's Day.
Don't normally bet ante-post but couldn't resist a nibble at this,to celebrate the opening of the UK flat season.
