Looking ahead to the NH season 2015/2016 proper

I also reckon that that if you can abosrb the game as a sport first and watch the horses rather than stare at the befair exchanges looking for an angle, you will be far more likely to prosper. Seeing the sport live is always more resonant too

I'm not sure If that was directed at me but that's certainly not how I roll.

No it isn't mate. I don't know what you do and couldn't give a toss frankly but it's a general observation

some fair points you raise and I get them but im just saying how I believe NH racing is best enjoyed

Apologies if some are offended by waffling I just figure they can choose whether to read or not to read. As it goes when I do post I always struggle and worry about my grammar as I'm not really very well educated. Before I joined OHR as Broadsword I joined earlier under another username which I forgot so I re-joined after a couple of years under my new name. There used to be a girl who posted on there under the name of Ali Gupter who absolutely berated me for my lack of punctuation and general ability not to be able to construct a sentence ( she was bloody cruel for a girl ). It wasn't by design I just really struggled . I've tried to improve as much as possible since then but I still find it hard to write as well as some others I've seen online and I still sometimes struggle to get my points across as effectively as I'd like.

I did notice amongst the members names at the bottom that there is an Ali Gupter residing amongst your members I'm guessing it must be the same one with such an unusal user name I'm figuring if I have so far avoided her wrath then I must have improved a little and I'm doing alright :ninja:

AliGupter is female ?

Danny; I agree with what you said about the Festival, much as I love it. If it's any consolation I had a rubbish NH season last year as well, with the exception of dear old Cole Harden. The dominance of the Mullins horses, fantastic as they were, overshadowed the festival, but then I do like to see smaller trainers do well.

Looking at weekend's Cheltenham entries

Hargam and Top Notch entered up

Parlour Games is entered in a chase. It is confirmed that he is going this route>

Blaklion getting his first entries too

fun bets in the big races..serious bets in the bread and butter ones lower class races where you have a horse 5lb+ in hand of its mark..that has served me personally well for a couple of years

big races are too competitive to be confident about..to me i feel very confident when i know i have a little edge..in better races there isn't much between many horses and most big races are priced accordingly imo..i never really feel confident in the same way as i do in lower class races

someone will post exactly the opposite to that..its all down to the individual imo..there is no right or wrong approach if it works for you

sorry Danny..didn't realise you were Broady:)

No problem EC I think I did introduce myself as such when I started posting on here but you may have missed it so no worries.

i've all on remembering me own name some days Danny

i used to post under two names on here but had to drop posting as "Hamm" as i didn't like him anymore:D

i can see me stopping posting as CliveX soon as well..going the same way:)

I didn't inow you were that name too Danny but the trend here is to call posters by their real life names so as to prove you have actually met these people and are not a complete billynomates

for instance ec likes to be known as Cynthia .....at the weekends

Just so there's no confusion I post under Broadsword at Ohr and Danny here and was Danny at FF too I don't post under multiple user names on one site.

i was kiddin Danny:)

Clive is right though..some use personal names..i don't do it with him though as spelling out softsoutherntosser takes too much time:D

you wouldn't believe Clive and me are a couple would you?

I thought as much (that you were kidding not that you were a couple). Haven't quite caught up with the banter and who's got beef with who but I try to steer clear of such stuff, keep my head down and concentrate on the racing.

Meanwhile back on topic

Rich Ricci on the 'Triple Crown' : "I applaud the initiative but it will have no bearing on plans for our horses."

"Our outstanding bumper horse could be Fulham Road. He's our best by far."

On Douvan:"Although it would be great to have two darts at the Champion Hurdle, he goes novice chasing. He looks great. He's very exciting."

Faugheen likely to go Morgiana, Xmas Hurdle and possibly a race between Xmas and Cheltenham, all things well. "He looks fantastic."

Vautour - "We have to go to the Gold Cup. He will start in the Amlin and then the King George",

Annie Power "Head says Mares Hurdle, heart says I'd love to win the World Hurdle. We could keep options open until February"
