Looking ahead to the NH season 2015/2016 proper

Danny, do you come racing at all, NH Racing I mean, not the other stuff. The reason I ask is we are often at the track with runners and you are welcome to join us in the paddock. Met loads of forumites over the years and made some great friends, We are at Cheltenham friday

Meanwhile back on topic

Rich Ricci on the 'Triple Crown' : "I applaud the initiative but it will have no bearing on plans for our horses."

"Our outstanding bumper horse could be Fulham Road. He's our best by far."

On Douvan:"Although it would be great to have two darts at the Champion Hurdle, he goes novice chasing. He looks great. He's very exciting."

Faugheen likely to go Morgiana, Xmas Hurdle and possibly a race between Xmas and Cheltenham, all things well. "He looks fantastic."

Vautour - "We have to go to the Gold Cup. He will start in the Amlin and then the King George",

Annie Power "Head says Mares Hurdle, heart says I'd love to win the World Hurdle. We could keep options open until February"

What had he to say on Vroum Vroum?

Looking forward to the jumps getting going properly. Chepstow was a good appetiser but this weekend is looking like a belter. Cheltenham showcase and Old Roan day at Aintree. Lovely.

What had he to say on Vroum Vroum?

Vroum Vroum Mag "could be a Gold Cup horse, with the Ryanair more likely."

More quotes

Pont Alexandre "remains an exciting prospect. He's big and he's healthy."

Clondaw Court: "We might try and find him a G3 or G2 hurdle that he can win and then go for a big one. He could be a World Hurdle horse."

Sempre Medici: "might be one for the Fighting Fifth"

Blood Cotil: "will not run in the Paddy Power Gold Cup. Likely to return in the Christmas period following a setback."

Kalkir and Dicosimo: "will stay over hurdles this year."

Very excited about a horse called Aurko

Looks like Hargam may take his chance at Cheltenham this weekend, but Top Notch seemingly being aimed at the Prix D'Automne at Auteuil in early-November.

From RP

CONEYGREE's bid to carry topweight in the Hennessy Gold Cup has connections of Cue Card considering a crack at the Newbury handicap.
Joe Tizzard confirmed it was all systems go for Cue Card as he gears up for his seasonal reappearance in the bet365 Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby a week on Saturday.
The Grade 2 will be used as a stepping stone, with the Betfair Chase at Haydock in which Cue Card recorded his last victory in 2013 one subsequent option.
However, the opportunity presented to high-class horses by Gold Cup winner Coneygree racing in the Hennessy off a mark of 172 has brought the race under consideration.
"He's all set to go for the Charlie Hall," Tizzard said. "He's been in a long time, he's schooled and seems in really good form.
"After the Charlie Hall he could go to Haydock, although there is a chance he could run in the Hennessy because he has dropped to a mark of 160. We will see how he comes out of Wetherby."
Bolster also Hennessy-bound
David Bridgwater is also considering the Hennessy as a starting point for his stable star The Giant Bolster, who like Cue Card has run in the last two runnings of the Betfair Chase.
"He's in good form," Bridgwater said of the ten-year-old, who also ran in the Haydock race in 2012. "We will enter him in the Hennessy and see what happens.
"If they run Coneygree he would be one of the few horses in the handicap. If we could sneak in with ten stone something, with most of the field out of it, he could pick up some prize-money."

I haven't been for a couple of years now purely down to personal circumstances and not having the time to go. I've only been a handful of times previous to that as I grew up in an area where there aren't many/any like minded people which is basically why I started posting on a forum . I have to say of the courses I have been too I do love Towcester of all places but when I did finally go to Cheltenham for the first time ( New years day meeting ) it absolutely spoilt me I think that racecourse is the most beautiful place I've ever seen. I certainly would love to go racing on a more regular basis at some point in the future though Roddy and appreciate the invite . Work commitments unfortunately prevent me from attending meetings in the week and I have to say that from my handful of racecourse visits I do prefer to go in the week rather than a weekend it seems a better crowd . I do get a couple of nights I can book off each year from work but I've used them all up for this year and my next holiday is Christmas . Hopefully though at a later date we'll arrange something it'd be great to meet a few proper horse racing folk and listen to a few stories . Hopefully I'll be sticking around for a while on the Forum as long as they'll put up with me so I'll keep my eye out for an opportunity to tag along ;)

Thanks :)
