Novice chasers 2013/14

Emmm I suppose the better ground could be the making of him.
Djakadam interests me, especially if allowed to bowl along with his jumping.

I keep on wondering how good Djakadam is going to be, and I keep on thinking he will be a very good horse, so long as the ground isn't too fast.

All of the focus seems to be on Felix Yonger and Champagne Fever, but I think this one is a very good chaser.

Djakadam got shed loads of weight from a pretty ordinary Bright New Dawn last time out. A fuss is being made because of who trains him. Yawnsville.

Richie Rich was very very sweet on him on Sunday forum the other morning.
Whatever about he form and what he beat last time, I certainly took note of how his voice picked up when asked about Djakadam....

I was actually surprised Rich was so positive because Djakadam was one that I had overlooked. One to watch for me now.

I get that he was getting loads of weight, and has a way to go yet.
I think there is more to come from him though. His jumping is exciting, and when allowed to bowl along I think you will see the potential he has. He has been reined in so far.
But yes being a Mullins horse, like a Nicholls or Hendo, the hype does get going earlier than it should.

Missed some opportunity about 45 minutes ago-wife sent me to Tesco to get something stupid-HdB walked in the front door at exactly the same time but being slightly distracted I didn't notice him until it was too late. Will be stalking that branch of Tesco every Monday evening between now and the festival.
