Novice chasers 2013/14

Unseated Geraghty at the last when not particularly looking like winning.

I was there mate. No he wouldn't have won. He has to and probably will improve on what wasn't a great jumping round too but still a hurdler to my eyes

No doubt he will improve but I certainly cant see his jumping holding up in the breakneck speed of an Arkle.

Good news considering I'll be at Punchestown on Saturday.

8/10 with a P for me, but "entered in everything" makes me nervous about lumping on for the Arkle

The 3m novice at Cheltenham looked a very good race to me and am surprised about quotes of 20/1 & 16/1 for the first 2 for the RSA. I expect them both to be near the top of the market come March

I thought that was a very good debut from Champagne Fever 7.5/10 is probably fair, his rivals in the Arkle will all need to get 2.5m if he gets to dictate from the front.

Serious statement of intent from Tony Martin running Ted Veale in a novice chase at Cheltenham first time over fences.

Moore gave Sire De Grugy a poor ride there..got sucked into catching a front horse that had gone too fast..legless after the last...horse is better than that

I thought they had gone steadily for two reasons 1) His Excellency travelled on the bridle for a long way and 2) Special Tiara ran on nicely despite making the running.

Defy Logic mmmmmm.....if he's the best Nolan has had in a while....

He beat boats last time - think Rory has his measure just about right.

Watching Don Cossack at Galway and today it seems to me that they are very keen to keep him going as easy as possible for as long as possible. He didn't really want it when it came
to a battle today but 3 miles on soft/heat at Leopardstown at Christmas might be his thing.I wouldn't be surprised to see him entered in the Hennessy at Leopardstown.
