Novice Hurdlers 2012-13

Very impressive looking horse with a fantastic shoulder on him. Not convinced about him hurdling at speed though and I'd sooner take a massive price about him for the 2014 RSA than a short one for the Neptune.

What did he say? Can't find this.

An interested party- a desperate one.

"...we discovered after the race he was suffering from a respiratory infection. We treated him and he is back being ridden out every morning, although he is not yet showing the strutting ****-of-the-walk attitude he usually displays. It was probably a blessing in disguise that he dropped out of the race as quickly as he did rather than getting involved in a slog up the straight which might have set him back a lot further. Hopefully, he'll return to action before long."

There is a stat relating to horses not winning if they haven;t had a race within a certain number of days in advance of the festival. Can't remember the specifics or if it relates to the Supreme though.

These are the main stats for the supreme.

10/10 had won at least 50% of their hurdle starts
9/10 were aged five or six (hors la loi he last 4 yo)
8/10 had run within the last 45 days (Cinders and ashes and captain cee bee I think)
8/10 won last time out
7/10 had previously contested a Graded race

Jezki goes straight to the festival and misses the Deloitte.Could be seen as a negative if you follow stats.

This is my problem with stats as a method of finding winners. Of the last 20 Supreme winners, 17 "missed the Deloitte". So, it could be seen as a positive if you follow stats.

Don't get me wrong,I'm not a trend follower by any stretch,I've smashed the arse out of Dynaste in te rsa and that has to be a loser on the stats.merely mentioned it as a talking point. For me Jezkis form is rock solid, have backed it at double figures.....I'd like to have seen it have another run.

Nicky Henderson's Utopie Des Bordes had 3 entries this week Donnie Cheltenham and Leicester.

Bought by Simon (Grandouet) Munir She made absolute mincemeat of Paul Nichol's Fago in the end when she won the The Prix Maurice Gillois Grand Steeple-chase Des 4 Ans and according to Philip Carberry she is one one of the best he's ridden.

She hardly jumped a fence early doors and had you backed her you would have given up at halfway.

I think Philip Carberry misjudged the pace a bit but is she tough or what?

Obviously won't be much of a price if she goes to Leicester but one to keep an eye on
