the point isn't isn't whether its illegal..its about people thinking they got one over on something then bragging about it later like its something clever..when in truth..it isn't really

afterwards there will be people coming on here bragging about how much they "won"..just find it a bit sad tbh

but like i said..whatever turns folk on.

i don't really think this sort of thing is shrewd..its just chancing it..which is fair enough..but thats all it is..the ability to brag afterwards how much has been gained..i'm too old to get impressed by it tbh

I'm not trying to impress anyone -it can be done with a small amount of discretion.Some people seem to be genuinely afraid of or confused by the offer but it's a loss leader that's there to be milked.
 
And if you really want to make proper money in life, betting and dodging fares would be way down my list.

I agree which is why I've been replying with such disdain on this thread. If you want to see something clever look at the 8/1 winner on Gigilo's thread.

i'd look on the what you betting thread...i posted it on there...its been on my to follow since its c/d win..and was probably on most peoples lists that does speed figures

I genuinely look forward to it. If I've got it wrong I have no problem eating my words as it will be an education. It is plainly obvious you have a far superior knowledge of betting/racing in general than most so we'd appreciate a little insight rather than the pithy one liners. If you can't be arsed with that then fair enough but educating those that are trying to learn will ultimately make for a better forum.

In this particular scenario it helped me write it down to get a grasp of the best angle for me, the average punter. I posted it, it may be wrong but it's a forum at the end of the day, not Wikipedia.
 
My last word of this subject is UNDER NO CURCUNSTANCES infer that this offer means something about the chances of any runner on Day 1.

Never found out....walked into the races and this man who I knew John.jpg approached me and said "Who's been naught boy then you've got alarm bells ringing all over the country"

The horse finished 2nd and we got paid but he explained to me exactly what would have happened if it had won.

It's a dodgy game and had I not known who I knew they would probably have refused to pay me a penny and there's nothing I could have done about it.

You got away with it good on you but I bet you 2 bananas to a plum Paddy Power security have already read this thread.........Is that someone at your door?:lol:
 
I really wouldn't fancy going round 100 shops to get betting vouchers that I have to use within a certain frame time..........which you may well lose on the majority of bets you make with them............Stick your 2k on UDS at 1.8 and pick up your dosh
