I hope people latch onto this idea he is not suited to Cheltenham. I was glad to hear Henderson say he had gone in his coat prior to the RSA, and he had been on the go for around nearly a year. He has grown considerably, and strengthened up. I think he will win and win well.

Shame we were not told about the "gone in the coat" and "long campaign" prior to the event? Or maybe we did I just missed it.

His jumping is a serious concern for me particularly around a track like Cheltenham.

1st Great Endeavour 9/2
2nd Catch Me 8/1
3rd Long Run 4/1 fav

Distances 4l, 1/2l

Time 5m 13s

Going good to soft (soft in places)

Sunnhyhullboy not involved? I wonder what the weight difference will be between him and Gread Endeavour?

Grade 1 winning hurdler. Winner of 5 Graded races over hurdles
Has recorded a RPR of 167 over hurdles, and an OR of 164.
Has run well at Cheltenham before (when third in Ballymore).
Likely to be rated in this race at least a stone below his best hurdle form.
Connections (as you say).
Best form seems to be over 2m4f ish.
Has made (I think) only 2 or 3 mistakes in his fencing career.

He'd do me (so long as the handicapper doesn't hammer him).

There has been money for him but connections do like a bet. His 2/3 mistakes were bad ones and he does not look a natural. I think he has had his day in the sun with his sequence over hurdles two years ago.

No he has a lot going for him and 16/1 he should not be ruled out. I just thought they ran out of ideas for the horse last year when reverting to hurdles.

Edit.

I had forgotten he ran again after he spin over hurdles. His last run behind Pandorama when again making a mistake was very promising. I can see where the fancy for him is coming from now. The handicapper might struggle to get a hold on him.

As someone who is all over Long Run for the King George I suppose I have to iget nvolved here given the mark he'll be running off.

Are the Greatwood entries out yet? Can't look at work.

Worth remembering though that so far he's been ridden by Shit Jockey in England. At least in the Paddy Power, Shit Jockey (7) takes over.

I think the market is about right, I'm convinced Long Run is good enough to win this off the mark he's on and if the clown on board has learnt to sit still and let him jump then there's a good chance he will. Great Endeavour is clearly a horse on the up and heavily fancied by the yard, he will no doubt have been laid out for this and I would be very suprised if he didn't feature.
