Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe

Third and fourth had best form over ten furlongs; Fifth St Nicholas Abbey a better horse left handed in smaller size fields and winner did not run to that rating again.
Top class filly no doubt, she put that lot well and truly to bed.

Enable is class and hopefully will stay in training.

Treve in her 1st Arc was the best performance of the ones mentioned.

Good to see Enable back at Kempton on Saturday.

Tasty with Crystal Ocean taking her on.

Anybody been to the new Longchamp yet?

Trying to decide between Finish Line tickets & Gold Stand.

Not yet but will be there this year. Let me know how your research goes so that I can piggy back on it! I notice with alarm that he €7 I paid in to watch Sea The Stars win it has now moved up to €75.

We've booked Finish Line because: -

a) You can go back and forth between grandstand and infield but those in the infield (inc. Gold Stand) can't access the grandstand
b) Grandstand is in fact solely for use Finish Line ticket holders and those with reserved seating
c) Paddock access is only available to those in the grandstand, unless specifically paying for it
d) The new terrace area (linked to paddock I think) , which they're so keen to show on the website gallery, is again dedicated to those with grandstand access only

At least that's how I've interpreted it all but time will tell whether it was the correct decision.

And yes, €8 I paid to see Dalakhani.

Good to hear from you David. I hope you and your family are keeping well. If you make it to Paris let's make sure we say hello.

Yes even Dettori couldn't f*** that up. She was keen , first time out maybe not to be expected. Wonder if they would keep her going next year if she doesn't win the Arc?

Great performance, given the circumstances, and JG had her only 80/85% fit. Roll on the Arc.
Frankie said he can't wait to ride her, which tells us all we need to know about the likelihood of Cracksman's participation.

I took 40/1 Capri for the Arc this evening.

He looked for all the world like he was merely weighing up Waldgeist & co at the weekend. They say he's definitely going for it (14/1 NRNB with Sky) and he'll probably improve a lot for the run. I don't think he should be any longer in the betting than Waldgeist (9s tops).

I'll wait till the day but if things align as I hope I'll be heavy on Cracksman. If not I'll be against Enable all day long at the projected prices.

I was eyeing up the 8s for the Long Distance thing at Ascot for Capri. You'd have to think he'll be 20s on the day.

Is that the target for him?
I know he's a Leger winner but he did make his debut this season over 10f, I can see the lads going Arc then Champion Stakes with him.
