Qm Champion Chase

Twist Magic came down at speed at the Festival last year, and Master Minded is massivley inexperienced for a race of this nature. Also Paul Nicholls seems to have more than his fair share of fallers in big chases, so if we were talking in % chance terms I would think the Nicholls pair could be the more vulnerable to jumping errors.

Watch Voy Por and Tamarinbleu jump like pigs now!
That would be my take.

Only Tamarinbleu has brought his jockey home each time he's faced a fence and remains unblemished in this department, although he was pulled up as a result of an error in one I seem to think?. Both Tamarinbleu and VPU have jumped comfortably over 300 fences now between them, with only VPU losing his rider. Compare that to Twist magic and Master Minded, and it's not just their inexperience, but their record to boot that should give backers pause for a second thought

I will be a layer of Master Minded, I have to say, if he's anything near his current price coming close to raceday

That's a very good analysis indeed Warbler, and much food for thought there...
I'm starting to like Tamarinbleu more and more

I've got a small win bet on TM at 12 which I could lay off perhaps...
horses which have fallen at Cheltenham once, quite often do so again

My betfair account is frozen until they finally pay out on Trapattoni....

But that should be today

Why have they frozen your BF account?

Couldn't you just open a new account and make a deposit for the Master Minded lay?

Thank you Bobbyjo - you have just reminded me to check my BF balance after winning a nice few quid on Trappatoni!

"His funds are tied up"?

I have never had my account frozen, and if I have money still to pay and want another bet I make a deposit? Times aren't that hard are they Bobbyjo? Hope you are not going to go the way of poor Mr Loughran!

Trappatoni paid out tonight....a large cheque from Betfair is winging its way to my house as I speak. Little did I know that I had unfortunately set a weekly exposure loss limit on my account to the value of 1,500. By piling so much money on Trap, it had pushed one candidate who I had earlier laid into a situation where I would lose more that amount [adding one or two more little losses] by placing another bet. So, basically, I couldn't even get four more euro on anything as that would mean i would potentially have a loss of 1504 euro overall on my account which is more than I had inadvertently allowed when setting up my account.

But, thankfully, tonight it is happy days....I'll lay Master Minded in due course. For now, it's fine wine and cigars.

7/1 NRNB with Sportingbet. Not bad for the Timeform and RP top-rated horse with rain on the way.

Should be. Twist Magic out to 6.2 on BF. Don`t understand VPU 3.95 to back - he`s more layable than Master Minded now.

I fancy Tamarinbleu for this myself, but would love to see Fair Along run well, it's heart vs head again!

Tamarinbleu is indeed favourite with some bookies this evening and thats not surprising. I didn't think he had a chance in this race on the usual good surface but I could see him go very close tomorrow.

That is a shame isn't it - would have loved to see Nickname take his place!
Master Minded had a back problem a couple of days ago - physio round - wonder if it's sorted?

Think I've left it a bit late to back Tamarinbleu
esp having backed him for the other one!

Market confusion, Master Minded and VPU trading at around 3/1 on Betfair but both available at 10/3 with Corals, Tamarinbleu as low as 3/1 in places but 4/1 available.

Have backed Tamarinbleu at 9/2 and VPU at 3/1 to varied stakes earlier, I think the winner will come from these 2.
