Qm Champion Chase

Best Qm performance that I have seen. MF and Az probably would have done something similar to VPU, but that's the best I've seen a Champion CHase won ever.
 
Superb natural jumper, an absolutely gobsmacking performance. Really something to watch.

Wish I was Clive Smith :P

That's exactly what i was thinking! Hope he's given the rating that performance deserves.

There aren't enough superlatives for that.
 
Fair Along was way out the back I think and probably missed having his heart ripped out and stamped on like the rest.
 
Any rating will probably have to be based on Schindlers Hunt, beaten 36 lengths.

The RP have him consistently at his best at 152, which would give MM a 188.

They also have VPU at 170 at his best, which would give MM 189.

188 or 189 would put Fair Along on ~153, which is half a stone less than his best to date.

Throw in something for style and you've got a perfectly arguable case for a 190.

I don't see your point...forgetting about the winner the rest were much of muchness relative to the recent spoils we have had.

Completely agree with Gareth and Andrew...give the horse a rating he deserves.
 
If the race was carp as some stated, you cannot rate the winner anything like 180+ can you



VPE is a good horse as his 16L beating of decent horses Fair Along and Schindlers Hunt show

It was "crap" in comparision to the the recent greats...Moscow Flyer, Azertyuiop and Well Chief.

VPU is a long way behind either of them and the rest are in a different parish.

But because Master Minded won so well he deserves that rating. Does not make it a strong renewal though.

Easy to say now but I thought it was fine. Grade 1 and 2 winners everywhere, some of whom unfortunately never ran their race, which is a shame in terms of the rating thing.
