Road to Royal Ascot, 2023

I'll be opposing Chadean of Frankie's too.
He got lucky with the pace in the Guineas, and this stiff 1m is against him, imo.

Modern Games needs fast ground and his form on it is 1121112 with the defeats coming against Baaeed and LTO where he was either given too much to do or couldn’t go the pace around the turning track of Keeneland. Both were G1s

Bets done for day 1

QA - Native Trail ante-post. Topped up at a similar price today.
KS - Missed the price on Mitbaahy so leaving the race alone now
SJP - Will see what happens rain wise but likely will sit this out as well. Royal Scotsman in a multi only bet.
Wolf - Re-watching the Goodwood race it screams that there's more to come from Francisco Clemente. I do worry that he'll find trouble and Havlin doesn't fill me with confidence but 11/2 is just big enough to tempt me in.

Yes, I wired into him yesterday at 13/2. 11/2 is still huge, I reckon.

If Mostabshir gets an easy lead he will take some pegging back.

I can see him getting at least one of the principles is trouble if not both.

Paddington looks overrated to me but Chaldean looks the real deal.

I'll go Chaldean and Mosabshir in a rfc and Mosabshir 7/2 to be in the fist two home

My old pal John Quinn sends Highfield Prince out to do battle again but she's now 6 years old and might find this 5f a fraction too fast for her now.

Coolangatta had last years winner Nature Strip behind when winning her only race this year.

Hard to say how good she is but she has the services of James McDonald and at 4/1 looks a bet worth taking a chance on.

Following 10mm rain in a heavy shower between 6.30 and 7.30am. The forecast is now for a generally dry day. The Going and Goingstick readings will be reaasessed by lunchtime

Inspiral & Chaldean. The double pays almost 8/1 at current best prices.

That'll cover a full day's punting.

If Inspiral goes in all Dettori's other mounts will be cut.

GL,Fist - though she'll find a stiff Ascot 5f very different to a flat Flemington.
John Quinn has said that Highfield Princess always comes on for her first run, so it can be taken as read that York was a prep run.Ithink she'll still have the legs for these

John is extremely worried...he was ok until I told him you tipped her:lol:

Explain this to me oh wise one. I just loaded some extra dosh and took 1/2 about Inspiral being in the first 4....am I looking a gift house in the mouth......seems almost impossible she cant be placed unless the word is out something is amiss

I'm going with the real King BUT;-

HRH King Charles and Queen Camila should sharpen the axe before the race if Frankie finds another way to get Saga beat.

He made a complete hooch of things at Newmarket hit 100/1 in running by giving the winner a mile of a start when it was time to push the button.

Granted he's not an easy ride but hopefully it will be 3rd time lucky

Saga 10.5 EW bfe plus a saver @ 6/4 4 places

Glad you've realised.:)
All I know is she won't win.
