Stayers Hurdle 2018

Crippled most of my bets switching FO.

I'm in a sulk now, Tizzard can go do one as.far as I'm concerned.

Finian's wouldn't win any race at Cheltenham so why worry.

GET THIS are BET365 taking the pi$$ or what?....W Court 7/2 to win any race at The festival ....The same firm quoting 5/1 NRNB for the JLT 10/1 NRNB for the RSA and 20/1 NRNB For the Stayers

Spot the deliberate mistake Duh!!!

2m novice chase around Sandown to a 3m open company hurdle at Cheltenham within the space of 8 weeks. Good job, Tizz.

RP reporting L'Ami Serge will probably take in the Skybet Chase at Doncaster at the end of this month as a prep run for the Stayers.

Is his chase mark significantly lower than his hurdles mark? Seems an odd choice otherwise.

He is also entered for a chase at Kelso on Sunday. Has to give 2stone + to Getty though so Hendo will prob **** it.

Anthony Bromley - “His owners do have Wholestone as well for the Stayers’ which is at the back of our minds,"

Do these bozos not own a form book? Wholestone won the other day because it was short of three miles. He does not stay the full trip in top company.

Beer Goggles I now have on 163 and he's improving a good half a stone from race to race, plus I love his jumping fluency. At the moment I'm happy with the 25/1 I have about him.

Any thoughts as to what happened with him on Saturday Des as to why the horse started to want to go right handed. Never noticed this before and haven't seen any other instances of it from his runs at Aintree and Newbury. From what I've seen the horse is usually straight as a die.

I'm wondering whether it was either some sort of injury he was carrying, hopefully not. Or whether it might have been something as simple as an issue with the tack or he's lost a shoe or something. Very strange run and might be worth keeping an eye out for an explanation for it. Now he's "flopped" he might be a very interesting price on the day if we get some sort of reasonable explanation for it. It certainly ended his chances on Saturday that's for sure.

I think Grassy's point about Wholestone was pretty much backed up him curling up after the last in the Cleeve having looked all over the winner. I see young Tizzard says FO made a noise and is off for a wind op and they have finally admitted some of their horses are indeed under the weather .

Just looking at my review of last Saturday before I analyse the results in detail.

Immediately after the race I wrote:
I imagine something will emerge regarding Beer Goggles. He didn’t show any tendency to hang out right at left-handed Newbury so I suspect there was a physical problem with him. I thought he ran well in the circumstances.

I scoured the Weekender today for some kind of comment but saw none. They'll probably tell us after he pishes up in the Stayers but of course the yard will have other matters on their minds right now.

Apologies Des I must have missed that post and didn't know you'd already highlighted the same point.

Sam Spinner was my idea of the winner

but a negative he was not running last week
dont know if injured or they didnt want to run with the penalty in the heavy ground

“He’s a very easy horse to keep fit and fresh. I would personally be quite happy if we just made Cheltenham our target. There aren’t too many options anyway”

but last weekend would have given him course experience

I hope some of that is each way otherwise you'll be pissed when the Sergemeister collars him on the bridal up the run in.
