The 2011 2-y-o thread.

frederick engels has just made shumoos look even smarter...shumoos must be the best 2yo we've seen yet?

It certainly looks like it. A terrific time from FE yesterday as well. He'll go well himself at Royal Ascot.

Looks like a strong form line, doesn't it!?

Couple of Listed races at Naas this afternoon that have attracted a few British invaders; Hannon has a go at the colts race with Lilbourne Lad; Tom Dascombe (Basantee) and Mrs.K? Burke (Guru Girl) fancy the fillies race.

Not sure if this should be here or in the forum connected horses - but my horse ( Petrovna) 's two year old is now named as Gull Rock (yuk!) and is entered up for the 2.20 (i think it was) at Sandown on Friday....

It is Sandown 2.20 and Dane O'Neill is down to ride.

Good luck, Troods.

Bred by Songsheet and Paul Thorman, dam now owned by Trudi and i/f again. Lovely chestnut mare, although I see the filly's turned out bay. Lovely trainer - won't be hard on her (or any baby).

Not really anything to do with me other than being Reds,Colin - though I was asked if Id like Red while she was carrying Daisy - so I claim paternal rights over her!!!

Really hope she does well, not least because Red is in foal to Hellvelyn, and its going to be the nearest we ever get to creating another Daisy... :)

Very taken with Zip Top tonight at Leopardstown. Had the run of the race from the front but looked a big, scopey sort that could well prove pretty smart.

Bolger is talking about going the New Approach/Teofilo route and clearly holds him in high regard.

VERY TAKEN with ZIP TOP, too! Thought he looked the stand-out as soon as I saw him, and agree with all you say, Tracks.

Two nice winning debuts EASTERN SUN (J.Gosden) at Newbury yesterday and CHURCH MUSIC (K.Ryan) at York this afternoon.

Stuart Machin commentating at York suggested that horse and jockey were singing from the same hymn sheet!!

Frederick Engels has been purchased by Pearl Bloodstock. They are leaving him with David Brown, which seems a wise move. He is entered in three races at the Royal Meeting but they are "leaning towards the Windsor Castle" and that also looks the sensible option.

Trumpet Major - been told to watch out for him next time out but I see he's entered for the Coventry :ninja: Hopefully hear more nearer the time.
