Barker is presumably an unlikely runner, given he's a whopping 25/1 with Stan James?

Every cent that appears for Barker on the Back side, is getting hoovered-up as soon as it's out there - though the market is pretty embryonic, it should be said.
 
I think it would be pretty significant for Mullins to send him to the Tingle Creek first time out. When you posted earlier that you hoped he would come over I was about to respond to stay it is not Mullins style to send one over to the UK first time out, particularly a second season novice going to Sandown.
 
Ruby was jocked-up on Twist Magic when I saw the decs, which is what made me think Barker was likely to be an NR.

If Barker does run, I'd be a little surprised (and a lot disappointed) if Ruby didn't look to switch.

How much are jockey's held to declared mounts anyway? Can he still switch prior to the overnight decs, or would he need to have declared himself for both at the 5-days?
 
I thought jockey declarations this far in advance were almost meaningless? You often see the same jockey declared to ride at different meetings.

I suspect trainers sometimes declare a jockey just to let them know they're wanted to ride a horse because it's easier than getting them on the phone.
 
Fuck it................I've had a few quid on FTR for the Champion Chase at 80. I've pretty much convinced myself he is going to run a big race in the Tingle Creek, and he'll be a fair bit shorter come Saturday evening, I reckon.

I'll look to bail-out then - not convinced they will send him to Cheltenham.

I hope you got on at 25's, Gearoid - but as I wrote, there is no bigger than 18/1 left in the village, following a wholesale collapse in price today.

Chandler show most respect at 14/1.

No not on. Was with BrianH in Kempton before xmas last year and had a decent bet at 7-1 before he was gambled on. Connections have always liked the horse but he is only showing what he can do this year. Im not sure about taking 18-1 though. The SP on the day could just about go sub 10-1
