The Festival Bumper

oscar rock will only run if going soft

Moyle park has less than a 50% chance of taking part working well but punchestown is the likely target

Which one was Golantilla then? The one GO'B called in the blue cap on the rail? Wasn't impressed with that if it was. There was one horse that shot up and finished upsides the lead horse...was this Blackmail?

That was the information Gary O'Brien gave out today - doubtful he would have got it wrong twice. Strange thing for me is why Golantilla hasn't drifted - on the evidence of that workout it wouldn't look value at twice the price.

That's it Treff - Blackmail finished upsides Benefficient and will have Barry G on for Cheltenham. Golantilla was on the rail being nudged along with Danny Mullins up.

Posted this on the Leopardstown gallops thread the other day btw Treff:

The Tony Martin horses were as follows - Benefficient who led them home with Bryan Cooper up, Blackmail (called as Ted Veale by O'Brien) with Barry Gerraghty up, Golantilla who worked sluggishly and was pushed along to keep up (in black jacket and blue cap who I believe had Danny Mullins riding him), Ted Veale who had the blue jacket and black cap and lastly Edeymi (Jane Mangan - in white jacket and black cap). __________________

Empiracle's trainer Jeremy Scott: “He has picked up a minor injury which has led us to make the decision not to run him on Wednesday."

I feel very sorry for michael o and partners who were patient all season with their horse and now with days to go are denied a run.

Pretty p1ssed and can't be ar5ed to check but surely there's never been a Mullins / Walsh 25/1 winner before at the festival - if anywhere in fact

I think Wille got a few quid back for the books today. I had no bets today (bar an antepost bet for flaxen flare in the wrong race) but for me Ponte Alexander never looked like the winner.
