Home advantage really comes into play in the next round. It means that the players who score the highest get to choose the meeting in the next round against their new opponents, and the away player must post their selections by midnight of the Friday evening before.
So if we at look the first four in the draw :

baracouda 41
v
Grasshopper 20
.....................
Grey 27
v
Absurdistan 38

If say Grassy were to beat baracouda by 22 points to 16, and Absurdistan was to beat Grey by 25 points to 9, then Grey would get home advantage in the next round over Grassy because he outscored him 25-22.
