The "Won't Win" Thread

Rebel Fitz-couldn't believe the amount of sweat on him when he won at Tipp a couple of weeks ago -a summer horse who doesn't like to travel -definite lay at 1/2.

6.15 Dundalk

Peony Fairy

currently 2.3 ish

I don't think a drop back to 5 looks a good move vased on form comments so far.

Sire's 2yo's not strong on the sand....fillies even less so ..1/20 with an AE of just 0.34.

Also only 2yo winners were over 7 & 8f.

just to add

Sire's record with all age groups at sprint trips on sand

5f = 0/8
6f = 2/42 .....AE 0.28

Well done EC. Not getting the same attention as a winners thread, but I'm sure it will change.

thanks for the replies

the thread is getting about 200 views per day...similar to the win one Doomster...well just a few less:)

picking losers is deemed easy by many punters...so will never get the same response as winners imo

It actually took me about 40 minutes to put a lay in on Peony Fairy on my phone but worth the hassle in the end.

You can put me down for 195 of them.

Cheers.

Well done guys.

Not into the laying of Horses side of things but a great thread to keep watching

1.45 Estimate - going on a friends (Cliff) stats I'm risking a lay at 3.15

10/11 – Raced within the last 5 weeks
8/11 – Raced at least 5 times that season
8/11 – Aged 5 or older
7/11 – Won at least 5 times previously

:)

its just to keep it to shorties that people will actually lay rather than bigger prices which i don't like laying either..2.5 is just right. I see lots of horses at 3/1 4/1 that i don't think can win but never consider laying them just because the liability hurts

on paper it should win..a G1 horse in a G3..but for long distance horses its basically a G1/2 looking at the ratings of those taking part

I should have done a place lay :lol:

3.10 Samategal - I'll risk an in running lay at 2.0

3/4 – Irish bred winners
2/4 – Officially rated exactly 131
2/4 – Won 3 times over hurdles previously

Newbury 5.10 Blessington - odds-on - I don't believe the progeny of Kheyleyf truly handle soft let alone heavy - so risking the lay.
