It was a great race to watch even without a bet, but you must have got a right buzz out of that.

Good to see Little Josh come back to form in the Sefton, he had looked a good horse when he won the Paddy Power two years ago before losing a year through injury.

I backed Big Fella Thanks but I feared he was being nursed through the final mile and was willing Hello Bud home. This is an old favourite of mine.

Can only agree. Today had everything; rising superstars, old friends winning and injured horses coming back as good as ever.

I could have kicked myself having spent half the morning trying to decide between Petite Robin and Unfuwain but despite Mr N de Boinville7 whoever the heck he is I decided to stick with Nicky's. But I had backed Sprinter for more than I could really afford to be losing plus had him with Captain Conan in a double......Didn't even have the common sense to put a little bit on the treble and ended up having SFA on Petite Robin and sat there watching what might have been not having had a brass penny on Petie Robin.........bit of aftertiming there I know but what an idiot this game can make you feel.

However what a great days racing, a hard act to follow but you can always trust the Irish to come up with something every bit as good.

Only 4 horses turning out for the John Durkan but what a talented Quartet,

I had Bog Warrior down as a future champion the first time I saw him. He's had his problems, Davy has decided to ride Sir Des Champs which is not surprising but one should remember Bog Warrior was joint fav with Flemenstar when things for went all wonky and he trailed in miles behind him last season. If he is back to his very best he must have at least a sqeak in this.

When Rubi Light won this last year thrashing Joncol he sent some warning messages across the channel but never quite lived up to expectations. No doubt he'll be spot on for this and they wouldn't want to be giving him a soft lead as when on song he's dynamite at this trip.

Sir Des Champs I don't know what to make of. He has a string of wins against his name but I reckon that's more down to the expertize of Willie M in placing him brilliantly well rather than the horse being a future star. I'm not even sure if Davy is on the right one.
He's obviously very talented but I'd be out to lay him today.

Flemenstar? What can you say? If it wasn't for Sprinter Sacre a lot of people would have him as the best horse in training. He's an absolute star who jumps brilliants travels like a dream goes out and comes back like he's never had a race.

2.1 is huge in my opinion he should be odds on.

The way I see it is the Maroons with take all the spoils today and Flemenstar and Bog Warrior will take the first 2 places.

I can see Flemenstar breaking both Ruby Light and Sir Des Champs and like Sanctuaire yesterday them finishing exhausted.

A win bet on Flemenstar and a sfc with Bog Warrior is the way I am going today.
