I couldn't have Grandeur in the listed race at Goodwood-an all weather horse after having a couple of runs in the turf in America-trained by Noseda who is the King of training odds on losers.Decent lay at 1.75.

Angus McNae came out with an interesting pointin his blog last Saturday-basically years ago it paid to be against the crowd but markets have now become so efficient it probably pays to be with the crowd.

Father stone looks strong in the next. Wish I'd taken the 11-4 earlier but have played at 85-40.

there is an interesting one tonight thats entered at its right trip on the 30th...which i think is the intended win attempt...check out Modernism in the 8.20. It runs tonight over 12f..has dropped down to 79..5lb below last win. Its record at Wolves over 9.5f = 11011. Be interesting to watch what happens tonight..i'll stick a tenner on just in case as Crowley is on and has only ridden it once and it won,,but think 30th will be day to really have a go

Against my better judgement I've been sucked into backing Framley Garth in the next - Elsworth based recovery mission!

Ashjar has to be considered an interesting runner in the opener at Perth today, trained as he is by one WP Mullins, who wouldn't exactly be a regular at this track. Ashjar is the only horse the yard send across, and whilst he probably has it to do against the Twiston-Davies runner, Betfair odds around 15/2 have tempted me into a modest 'have a look' wager.

Looks like Ashjar has been sold out of Mullins yard and is now with McBratney.....thank you very much, irishracing app......useless kents. :(

Back in your box for another 6 weeks. :)

Since being dropped back to 6f, Remember (5.55) has won a Newmarket conditions race and was a stromg finishing 2nd (after being baulked) in a hot h/c over the same c/d. In her only subsequent 6f run, she travelled like the the best horse in the race, but failed to last home under a forcing ride from her alloted Shergar Cup pilot.
Back against her own sex, over this easier track and a jockey who knows her better, she looks a decent be at the current 6/1.

I've gone with Secret Hint at the same price. She was much better than the bare result last time out when she raced in isolation for much of the race at Goodwood before her jockey took her across the track, finishing well to grab fourth. Imo she'd have won nicely with a better draw and although she's 4lbs wrong today that isn't as much of an issue as it could have been.

Splash of Ginge debut means a decent price for Ainsi Fideles and he'll do for me in that race
