What are you backing Today?

Seems to be a big punt on the horse today Marb, and I don't think it's my 3 pence ew that's done it! Here's hoping! Been dry round here overnight so hope the ground isn't too gluey...[got the 20's!]

Well done Moe, you got the value, lets hope he runs at least a place.

Its a lively betting heat and Hollywood All Star's price is continually being butchered-up like a Christmas turkey. :)

Cresswell Breeze was a big tracker horse for me last season and I mentioned her a few times on this thread.

She has the entry at Warwick Saturday but also Catterick on Thursday.

From looking at the early entries for the Warwick chase it looks anyones' race for the taking.

I'd be surprised if there was another One For Arthur in there this year.

The final decs for Catterick will be Wednesday while final decs fo Warwick will be Thursday, so the hope is Cresswell Breeze is taken out of Catterick on Wednesday morning which leaves me appoximately 24 hours to grab the anti-post price for Saturday at Warwick!

She's been declared for Warwick Saturday. I can't look any further, have to stick with Cresswell Breeze, I reckon she's a worthy favourite.

With Ghalib to tow them along, I'd expect Goring (2.00L) to have too much toe for Sacred Act in the closing stages, and he looks the bet at a general 4/1

14:25 Warwick - Join The Clan

(Won this in 2015, but recent efforts dismal and is rightly the outsider in the field. Very stoutly-bred, however, and so a modest e/w go at 33/1).

I like this late money for Sue Gardner's Coeur Blimey, 14's into 8's. Gets my vote anyways.

I have gone against the favourite in the bumper at Wetherby as I reckon 9/2 about Fforbidden Love could prove a big price. The Neil King trained horse did nothing wrong when third last time out.

Pulled-up! That's what often happens when you back a 33/1 shot; serves me right!

To finish the day, a bit on Midnight Trouble in the Warwick bumper (4:05).

There promises to be a distinct lack of pace in the 5 rnr 7.10 at Wolves, and I'll take on 2nd fav Maratha, who seems to need every inch of this trip.
Mount Tahan ought to be home and dry, but Fayez should have the speed to gain 2nd place, so a straight f/c (currently around 9/2, B365) looks to be the order of the day.

City Gent (1.10L) has been raised 10lbs for his handsome C/D win latest, but today's oppostion looks little better than those he beat then.
Be surprised if he hasn't more speed than all of them, around this quick 6.
Currently 5/2 best.

Apologies - appeared not to stay (on a surface that had been worked to a 5" depth prior to racing, and was officialy standard to slow).

Have taken 7/2 Aubusson at Ludlow (2:00). He's dropped to a chase mark of 135, Chester Williams knocks-off another 7lbs, and it's not so long ago he was running with credit in G1 hurdles at Auteuil.

Kasbah. 2:30 Lingfield tomorrow.

He won the race last year, right in -form and should have every chance tomorrow.

Good luck, Marb, though you're taking something on.

Udontdodou has a near perfect AW record (4/6, both defeats from car park draws) and, though he's never raced at Lingfield, should really have the class and speed to take this.

Backed Kilcrea Vale 10/1 with Boyles or Hills. First run of the campaign was poor and needs forgiving. Caught the eye at Doncaster last time out went very well for a long way but lost loads of ground jumping right handed didn't last home over 3 miles. Back on a right handed track tomorrow, back down in trip and a couple of pounds lower. Makes plenty of appeal as an e/w bet.

3.00 Ascot tomorrow btw

Looking at Haydock's card tomorrow, I couldn't help thinking jockey Will Kennedy could have a very good day, with three big rides.

1:30 Testify
2:05 Waterlord
3:45 Ubaltique

Seeing's how I've got more chance of getting lucky with Cheryl Tweedy down the Toon than backing odds-against winners at the moment, I feel a win treble on the above short priced ones' is the way to go!

Jockey Finish O Toole on The Racing Post website is down as booked to ride REVERANT CUST in the 3:05 Wetherby on Wednesday. I think this horse will win this race, whatever the opposition happens to be on a rating of 113. He needed the run last time, so should be forgiven. His overall profile is very consistent and makes me believe he is a decent horse. He's only won one handicap hurdle so far, but I'd be amazed if he can't bag more races this season off an unexposed handicap mark.

Let me down at Wetherby but is in Haydocks 12:55 tomorrow.

Trainer Peter Atkinson has done quite well with 1 or 2 (or more) handicap hurdlers this season. I don't think the layers will go too big-a-price on Reverant Cust tomorrow on a mark of 110, coming back from another break. The top weight looks the main danger that he'll have to beat though.

I'm in a nice position with the Clarence House. I took 14s and 10s each way about Brain Power a while back and topped up at 13/2 win only last Monday. As protection I have put UDS in doubles with Singlefarmpayment(Ultima) at 4/6 and 14s, Fountains Windfall(RSA) at 8/11 and 7s and Supersundae(Stayers) at 8/15 and 7s. I've also backed Kylemore Lough at 14 on the machine.

Well, I called the race/result right anyways. Hopefully the start of a good day. Reverant Cust probably worth keeping an eye-on in future.

I've had a fairly significant bet on Dinaria des Obeaux and The Flying Sofa in a double at 8/5, and a smaller bet with Mullaghboy in a 13/2 treble. Pretty much all I can find across today's cards.

Not a day to be backing anything VIBES are bad.......BUT have yourselves a few quid
Buckland Beau I am told WILL WIN but can't find Slim's thingy....hope he likes snow

Fakenham 3:55 - BISOUBISOU

7/1..Win & Place

Track conditions at present are soft, hopefully the meeting goes ahead. There's plenty of snow all over the country. Trainer Olly Murphy runs two here. The first one is Flow With Eve, but I'll pass her over, as she's been off the track since last April. She carries a big weight which is not ideal in heavy ground. The second Olly Murphy trained horse is definitely appealing though at 7/1. BISOUBISOU is the horse in question. She receives a lot of weight. Fergus Gregory takes off six pounds which I'm happy with. He's ridden two winners from four rides the last week, (both wins coming for trainer Olly Murphy).

Bisoubisou improved when fourth last time at Market Rasen when having her first go at handicap hurdle company. She was stepped up to two miles four furlongs this day, on similar soft-ground that's forecast. My reasons for liking her are that her jockey is bang in form. The mare receives weight from the big guns. She gets the same conditions as when she showed the improvement the last day. 7/1 is a fair price. She could be an each way bet too, although early-indications show the price is already getting shorter.

Island Brave(6.20W) ran a career best in a truly run c/d race 2 ago, and both 2nd & 3rd have gone on to win subsequently.
Didn't stay a steadily run 2m at Lingfield latest (took it up 4f out in a sprint finish and caught by 2 proven stayers) and the general 4/1 looks very inviting.
