What are you watching

Seinfeld so holds up. Yeah the clothing is dated but some of the scenes are genius.

Near the end of the first season of Succession and I'm getting more into it.

I've also just finished the first season of The Witcher and that was very good. At heart I think I'm very much a Fantasy man. Today I finished the last book of The Wheel of Time - 15 books most of them around 1000 pages. And that series, incredibly long, is coming to TV. Jeff Besos wanted his own Game of Thrones.

Stick with Succession Euro. Almost gave up on it after 3 or 4 episodes, but S2 and S3 are exponentially better.

Valley Of Tears: the 1973 Israeli/Syrian/Egyptian war. Told from the Israeli point of view, and if even half true to the facts, shows how seemingly for once, they were really caught out.

Excuse me if this has been put up before I just came across it on Yify torrents "Dream Horse" The story of Dream Alliance who won the Welsh Grand National. Stars Damien Lewis so expect it to be quite good........more to follow

I really enjoyed Dream Horse with the exception that they portrayed Philip Hobbs as a pompous arse which he so isn’t.

I just got a hold of the Recue which is about the Thais who were trapped in a cave.

This is amajor problem in Thailand and I even thought about building a swimming pool in some land I have but the time and running cost were going to be too much.

Where I live there are over 1500 kids go to the local school which has football and hockey fields but no swimming pool.

The nearest pool is 20km away and kids depend on their parents to take them which is a very rare occurance. Most people in the area work in farming rice and rubber so they don't have a lot of spare cash.

As a result very few children learn to swim and that is widespread throughout the Issan provinces which lead to thess kids almost losing their lives.

Just finished season one Britannia. Love it. Trying not to start on season 2 or I’ll be binge watching it for the next 2 days.

I have just started watching 'Suburra: Blood on Rome' after having it recommended to me by a pal on Friday. Only a handful of episodes in, but already compelling viewing. It's a little like Gomorrah, but with much, much nicer architecture.

For fans of Gomorrah, the fifth and final Series is an all-episodes release on Sky on (I think) Saturday. That's my weekend written-off.

Had a 'dad date' this evening with my daughter. Went into town to see The Shop Around the Corner on the big screen.

Smashing wee film.

Started watching a pre dvd copy of the new Spider Man movie from 1X Bet........The movie looks V good but the copy is shxt so I turned it off and will wait till the DVD comes out

I though the plot, script and character arcs in the final episode of Succession was a piece of true genius. Loved it. Still with me 5 days later.

Dopesick is a very well made drama, but it's hard to watch without becoming sad, angry and murderous all at the same time.

You read any of the books?

Succession stuck with me aswell.

A masterpiece

Gomorrah.
The latest and final series returns to its roots from which the last few series had meandered. Plots and counterplots together with dramatic action. This a return to the fast moving, sometimes shocking, action that hooked me initially. A binge beckons.

Xmas Eve I just watched Don't Look Up ..Jennifer Lawrence De Caprio and a hort of other stars.

Listed as a Comedy.....a good movie worth a look but all I can say is someone has a very sick sense of humour
