York Ebor Meeting

I've backed Kihavah but hes not really well in at the weights as he won with a 7lb claimer and now hasnt got one and went up 7lb so basically he is 14lb higher.
I also had a bit of 33s ravenscraig castle.

According to Adele Mulrennan on ITV he looks very well before todays race after his break off the track. I think thats a positive for him.

Fingers crossed. We will find out now.

Anyone have Farhan?

Obviously a very talented handicapper who is probably quite rare as he seems to handle different going conditions. He's has bounced back well a break.

There are not many like him out there.

This Ravenscraig Castle, at least running at the right trip or thereabouts tomorrow, being well backed according to oddschecker.

I see Euro is sweet on Lord Protector.

Dual purpose horse Cormier is second fav and must have a chance.

Then there's Harry horse Moktaasab.

I have a headache thinking about it. Going for a ly down.

If I have a dream about one it gets the nod.

You should be sent to Coventry for even mentioning that monkey. He beat 2 home and one was almost pulled up.

Next step an selling hurdle at Sedgefield and he might win something

Ha they backed it into 14s aswell.

I couldn't have it today myself.

Was worth a mention though.

Theres not much of a rise from turning in at Goodwwod but it seemed to catch out Coltrane who was going well until the final furlong when he flundered

Your might just be more his cup of tea and he could run Trueshan closer

Close enough for me not to be taking odds on about the favourite when I can get Evens Coltrane to be in the first 2

My evens has just been whacked for 46% deductions wtf happened to Trueshan? not the ground surely?

We might have just seen a new staying star..........I doubt if the StradV or Trueshand would have caught him........very nearly a course record they are saying

Quickthorn I gave a good mention to in the Ebor last year when just done by Sonnyboyliston who won a group 1 next time out..

God hasn't he done well since.

I would say I planned to back him at 14s each way with Strad and True in, but took 6s with Trueshan in, but I'd be accused of aftertiming and rightly so.

Tanlic has a good point. I reckon its highly likely Quickthorn would have finished in the first two today with the two big boys in the race.

Maybe the others had overly hard races at Royal Ascot and Glorious Goodwood.

Even Andrew Balding hinted Coltrane might have had a hard long season before the race today on ITV.

Can't have Royal Scotsman in the next, he's tough but Marshman and Noble Style should fight this out.

The latter looked as green as a cabbage on his second outing after a lay off and a setback

Marshman looked awsome at Thirsk and does look the part to step up in class but Noble Style has already been there and done that.

I'll go with William Buick to get Noble Style hoome in what could be a close call

Good shout fella.

In the Nunthorpe I've taken Emaraaty Ana at 16/1, 4 places, BOG. That price strikes me as huge. He hit form this time last year, running second in this and going on to win the Haydock Sprint Cup, and this is as poor a Nunthorpe as I can recall. I would be fearful of a back-to-form Winter Power but she has been disappointing this season.

Fair third, still not quite back at his best but up against a big improver and a smart juvenile and beat all the established ones. Probably didn't cover my other longshots in the race but better than losing.

What a likeable mare the winner is though. It’s an oft overused phrase but what a credit to connections

Congrats to John Sue Sean Kelly and Michelle Quinn..If I had to lose it couldn't be to nicer people. They have done wonders with this mare and this must be John's biggest winner to date.....sitting in the dark with liyhtning flashing....time to say bye

Who was it on this forum that fairly recently mentioned Max Vega for the Ebor?

He was fifth in this race last year...only 3lb higher tomorrow.

I am starting to view this race a bit like a Grand National. Sometimes form in this actual race is a plus.

If Ralph Beckett has him right he's a player tomorrow especially from stall 1.
