York

I agree with with you but the way all boards seem wholly focused on the one stable at the moment is just tiresome. You yourself have backed Kissed for the Oaks which is fair dues given her pedigree and your touch on Pour Moi last year but it's hard to get excited about horses that have barely run.

I think there are a number of horses to get excited about and the novices from last year look a better group than the previous year.

See there is part of me that loves unearthing a gem before others do and that is easier on the flat because the breeding angle, in my opinion, holds more weight. Take your point about the one stable but the fact is he has most of the best horses and is one of, if not the best trainer. With the Nicholls/Henderson/McCain NH triumvirate though you're only really talking oligopoly vs monopoly.

Having said that when the new jumps season arrives Euro I'll be excited, no doubt about it! Perhaps I'm strange in that I enjoy both equally and my favourite code is flexible and dependant on the time of year!!

Libranno is overpriced in the Duke of York tomorrow. A line of form from his fine third behind Deacon Blues at Ascot in October gives him the beating of The Cheka and Mayson yet he's double the priced and more of those two. He's not the most consistent of animals but at the 20 on the machine I'll take a bit of a chance.

If anyone wants to know what Secret Witness's (2:00pm) form figures are when running at a week or under since his previous run there's no need to find out because I have done the hard graft for you.

1 win, 6 seconds, 2 thirds and 5 unplaced.

Interestingly on the majority of his unplaced runs he earned the comment 'slowly into stride', or 'dwelt' on one occasion. It would seem if he doesn't blow the start he'd have a good E/W chance as he ran at Ascot only a few days ago.

I like the Cheka in the Duke of York. I'd always thought they were running him over the wrong trip and I think he is set for a good season sprinting. With a run under his belt I think he can get the better of Hoof It.

Hoof it at 2/1 is bananas first time up....he may win but....

I agree with On the Bridle about Hoof It and having had a decent bet through both bookies and the machine yesterday have sold to cover stake leaving me with amost 2x stake profit potential with no risk. I still think Hoof It will win.

I've backed Right Step and Mirrored in the first, Shropshire in the second, got 8's ew yesterday on Mica Mika and have a fancy for an outsider, Lisiere in the last.

I've backed Right Step in the first.

Lost on him too Tout Seul, through Sirvino's he should have been at least second or challenging for winning honours.

Not sure where we went wrong or if the horse will come back lame - something's not right!

Reet was on the money earlier in the week when he was 9/2 - 4/1.

I think the Cheka could be the surprise package in this division this year, they tried to make him a 7f/1m horse for too long.

On my ratings I have Mayson a Group 1 performer taking this by 3 lengths if he wants! but people don't want to back him because he' the obvious choice and will opt for something different.

If you're that sort of person then I remember on the French thread putting up extensive reviews on Vento and Retisdargent for their debut trials - Vento has gone on to place on 2000 Guineas and win a race after while Retisdargent is running here.

The trainer probably found out she didn't stay a mile with her run over 7f but she must of been showing bags of speed the filly for him not to persist over 7f or more because she has bags of class and that's where the moneys at.

If you want I'd try a speculative Mayson & Retisdargent exacta or trifecta if you want to through in your selection of The Checka.

But defiantly Mayson & Retisdargent are plays for me.

Well done Marble - hope you got stuck in!!

Wow!!

What a selection, well done Marble.

You know what it's funny this lady secretly goes around in threads posting up winner after winner and really goes unnoticed.

Think it's time people show Marble at little more credibility and put her up the hierachy.

Again congratulation.

That's an excellent spot, thanks for sharing.

Cheers fellas, nice to get one on Tom Segal who tipped the second I believe, it's usually the other way around.

I just hope one of my mates backed it who I emailed last night about it, he's been very poorly and loves his horses so hope he did it.

And Bruce, I assure you, I am a very well endowed 26 year old male. I think these rumours were spread about me because I tryed it on with a female forum member who was apparantly a bloke.:))

All I know is the picture she sent me showed a cracking pair of knockers an d a pretty face. What to do eh?

Jesus, how smart does Twirl look?

What a lovely well put together filly, looks a serious specimen who still has a world of improvement to come.

It's all there in the right places with her but we wont see the best of her untill those area start filling out a bit.

Good prospect Aiden!

Did you back him before the off or wait to see if he blew the start (and if so, was the price much different?).

I did him before the off for the simple reason that 9/14 getting placed or winning is a very good record regardless. For a moment I thought he had blown it at the start, he wasn't the quickest away thats for sure. He could be ahead of the handicapper, I'm off to check if he has an entry in the next 7 days.

Society Rock would make it a very very good day now.
