Your Favourite Booze.

Licqueur`s rule. My favourite drink is a white russian...made from coffee licqueur, vodka and cream. Of course, i always have to make a special journey to obtain the former as the local Tesco/Asda just cater for the Beer and Wine drinkers.
I make it with Tia Maria :)

Nothing beats a jug of Pimms with lots of fruit etc. Not just a drink but a meal too

That's another golden oldie, Euro! Half Tia Maria, half voddie, topped with cream, through which it must be drunk. Just Tia Maria topped with cream is lovely for after-dins, or tipped into one's coffee. Sambuca - lovely. Liqueur glass, Sambuca, three coffee beans. Set the Sambuca alight, watch the blue flame briefly, blow it out, and enjoy.

It depends what I am doing at the time really. Lager when at the match or out with mates (will have the occasional few days on the guiness though), love sipping JD n coke when playing poker, while a bottle of red often goes down well when making (and eating) the Sunday lunch. As I mentioned on the 'Christmas nosh' thread, a few glasses of bubbly always gets Christmas day off to a great start. Althoughn not really a lover of neat spirits,I do like the occasional Brandy after a nice meal and have bought myself a bottle of Remy Martin this year as a treat :D

Sounds good, i`ll give it a go. Have you ever had Sheridans? I`m tempted for convenience sake, but i wonder is it cream or milk?

Griffin - try the Winter Pimm's, it's grand stuff!! Picked up a bottle from Sainsbury's on Didcot today (only place I've seen it for sale!).

Sheridan's is good stuff, Euro, very similar to Bailey's. Dooley's toffee vodka is good stuff too, sweeter than Bailey's but oh-so-drinkable!

At the moment I'm still on the Absolut Raspberri - mmmmm..........

Yes, Euro, had Sheridan's once, and very nice it is, as described. If you're a fan of dark and mysterious liqueurs, have you tried Kahlua? Not as sweet as Tia Maria, a bit more muscular, but gorgeous. It's also excellent for tipping over a big dollop of vanilla, choc, or coffee ice cream, or swirling into your coffee. If you add some to any type of cream, but especially thick cream, it makes a scrumptious topping for chocolate or coffee cake, or to dip biscuit fingers in, or just be eaten as one humungous bowlful of calories and gorgeousness!

Magners/Bulmers - the best cider of all time and I don't think it will ever be beaten.

Other than that then Reef is good if you fancy a boat race or strawpedoing drinks :)

I`ve read that Kahlua is just about the best one out there, but i`ve never seen it on sale. However, it is available on a website i visited recently so i`m gonna send off for a bottle or two when i`ve recovered from the Christmas overspend.

DIVER - port and brandy is alleged to settle the stomach - unlike most cream liqueurs which turn it

I've been in intensive interval training for this weekend. I've been overeating for breakfast, lunch and dinner for a few days with several heavy evening drinking sessions involving all sorts of beers, wines and spirits. I've impressed even myself with how I've coped with it all. One mild hangover so far and no weight gain.

Today and this evening, I'll just be ticking over, eating modestly and no alcohol (on duty at Midnight Mass) but Christmas Day itself will kick off with champagne cocktails with/for breakfast. I'm also hoping to pick up a few spare rides between now and the New Year.

I managed to buy two btls of the vodka ABSOLUTE RASPBERRI @ TESCO thanks to a p/m from Colin............ but have not tried it as yet................80% proof 700mlts..........

Gout?

Imagine the shame of being told by your doctor to lay off the bevvy!! What was your intake, if you don't mind me asking?
