Road to the 2025 Champion Hurdle

Just wondering what are the chances of Ballyburn or indeed Slade Steel ( or both) coming back for Champion hurdle anyone ?
As things stand CH and Brighterdaysahead are well ahead of the posse, allowing for excuses for Lossiemouth and State Man running below par.
The novice chase scene are red hot in all divisions with no 2m4f at the Festival, so it may not be as far fetched as , say Davy coming back from retirement a few years ago.
Chances of Ballyburn or Slade Steel going CH must be slim at best. I can't see BDA going the Ch route either as the seem very keen on the mares for her. If she is showing her best form prior to the CH I expect Paul Towend will ride Lossiemouth

More money than sense....More like Constiyuyion Hill will lap this one than ITV lapping it upo_O
Behave -it is absolutely brilliant that a horse is coming over from Japan to run at the festival. It is a pity they don't get more runners from America and Australia/New Zealand.

I can't be arsed with these idiots running no hopers to entertain their rich friends with horses that have no place being in the race...different if the horse had a realistic chance but this thing will be tailed off by halfway

Looking forward to my annual outing to Trials Day even more assuming this happens

Change of heart when they realized nothing else worth their salt is likely to run..none of the Irish trio are likely to come over...what else is there that could get him out of 2nd gear?

I recall backing an American runner in the Champion Hurdle. Finished third, if memory serves, but I can't remember its name. Pale blue colours, maybe.

Anglo, Jay Trump and Ben Nevis were American winners of the Grand National. Crisp was the champion chaser in Australia and Lord Gyllene in New Zealand.

It's great when they come over and it's even better when they have some sort of credibility. I have to be honest, my first thoughts on checking out the video of the Japanese entry was that they should re-think the idea of going up against the likes of Constitution Hill and State Man as he'd struggle to be competitive, to put it politely.

Flatterer. Finished 2nd to See you then I think.

Jay Trump was American Dessie but Anglo was Irish bred and born and Ben Nevis was born and bred in the UK...he was however owned by an American

It was before my time but I'm sure there was a horse that came over from NZ and was competetive in a Champion Hurdle and/or what became the Bula.

Pretty sure both Anglo and Ben Nevis won the Maryland Hunt Cup. BN definitely.

Checked Anglo on Wki. No mention of the MHC or any racing in USA.

Haven't checked BN yet but recall backing it both the time it was brought down and won because it was the best chaser in USA.

Lossiemouth entered up to take him on again. Hope they both show up

Well they are betting on it but 1/5 Constitution Hill......he'd be that price if she doesn't or does run so it tells us nothing.

Anyway cant be 2nd guessing Willie but Rich Ricci might want to run her amd know where to next ???

What the phuck has Rich Ricci got to do with anything??
A lot more than you do.

If he believes State Man isn't 100% Rich Ricc has £40,000 worth of reasons to run in the ICH and no Constitution Hill to contend with.

I am pretty sure Willie would ask Rich Ricci what he wants to do if that is the case.......He made it prefectly clear Patrick Paul He and Rich always discuss thesse things but plan A sometimes becomes plan B.

Rich Ricc is not a fool he respects Willie but the minute Willie disrespects him he has other options.......like following in the steps of Giggiestown
