I think Kauto looked to have more zip on Saturday than he did this time last year. It was much more impressive than his Down Royal win. I take on board that he was more forward for this race, but I still think he can put it up to Long Run again at Kempton.

Haven't had a bet today but I see Henderson has already had seven winners today.

Some nice horses in the field but it just leaves me thinking how lucky we've been to have had Denman lining up in this race in the last few years.

To think, Long Run wasn't born when Kauto burst on to the UK scene at Newbury in December 2004.

Never been so over the moon to be wrong. What a magnificent horse. Grade 1 wins in every year from 2005. Fabulous record.

I'd be surprised if Long Run doesn't win tomorrow. I'm not really concerned about his fitness. This is a Grade 1.

And in fairness too, Steps To Freedom has been on the go since April. Loved Grands Crus there.

Technically that's true, but Long Run would have been a 5yo winner of the King George last season if it hadn't been postponed a couple of weeks. That said, he was more experienced for his age. I think Mon Parrain's a better jumper than Long Run but LR has some engine.
