    It's been a while!!!

Hi all, yes not been on here for years, for the odd ones that don't remember or don't know. I was an apprentice and conditional before becoming a work rider, assistant trainer and travelling head lad and worked for various trainers; R Charlton, D Elsworth, D Loder, C Wall, J Gosden, R Varian...

    25 Years

As i can see it for me was that he was unsure whether to go to Epsom in the fact of him boiling over so informed the public who might want to back him that he more than likely wouldnt run. Then over the next few weeks when getting him more relaxed at home thought why not take a chance. The way...

    Calling Fudge

He hasnt been right since returning from his race at Newbury and we have had a back woman look at him and the vet and we cant find anything major but he just is'nt moving right behind. We are really gutted as he was going to be aimed at the Wokingham but is now having an easy month to see how he...

    The Sprinters

Sundae would actually be about 5 or 6 lengths behind Royal Rock at home and Royal Rock is lazy on the gallops too. Sundae is due to run at Newbury in the 6f handicap on Lockinge day a week Saturday if the ground is not too firm. Premio Loco is in good form and heads to Doncaster in 3 weeks time...

    The Sprinters

Royal Rock is now rated 98 and as he dont really want it firm the Wokingham on usually firm ground and with a hefty weight might be a tough ask. But he is a big horse and the way he goes at home is impressive. Whether he can prove himself at Group 1 level i dont know but having been closely...

    Where Are They Now?

The last i knew about Paddy Farrell was that when i was riding in Jersey in the 1999 and 2000 season he was also riding and based out there but not sure of his whereabouts now.

    Where Now For Godolphin?

The Dubai winters are a good idea if only they brought the horses back earlier. The last lot of horses came back on Monday a week before the guineas and having worked with horses that have run abroad in Dubai, Australia, Hong Kong and many other places, some like humans take longer to get over...

    Raven's Pass

Well for me Fast Company never handled the dip at Newmarket as it showed with him picking up when hitting the rising ground because he had never hung or rolled around like that in any of his other races. Some horses just dont handle the dip full stop and i think he could be one of them. And...

    Zulu Chief - 2.00 Newmarket

Like ive said in the Ravens Pass thread the rules about riding to the best possible placing does not state that you have to pick up your stick.

    Raven's Pass

Why beat the arse off him today and bottom him for the guineas. And the rule about being ridden for its best possible placing does not state that you have to use your whip. You can see Jimmy gave him a little flick which has not made him pick up so why get stuck into him when he is obviously...

    Zulu Chief - 2.00 Newmarket

Horses shouldnt have a hard race on their debuts, they should learn to enjoy racing in my opinion. Thats why most end up as pigs with blinkers etc on in the end. And thats what a lot of the decent trainers tell their jockeys too, as for Ravens Pass like Gosden said today was about getting a run...

    Thursday's Racing

Yes it was dry with a touch of frost, there is a slight wind and we have had a clear morning too. And having galloped on racecourse side the other day we all thought it was riding rather slow and was quite testing with a lot of ours getting more tired than expected in the ground.

    Zulu Chief - 2.00 Newmarket

I got told yesterday morning that Gosden's MOONSHAKE is well regarded and their bet of the week and they will be disappointed it does not go close. Then they had four winners yesterday so im on this one.
