    Clockwatchers' Corner

Out of sheer laziness I have been using the Racing Post going corrections when compiling my ratings. After getting more and more 80 something rated horses running 100+ I decided to check the going corrections myself. As I suspected, the Racing Post one's are effing useless. The Mojito race for...

The trainers thoughts on his chances. From Betfair: https://betting.betfair.com/horse-racing/hugo-palmer/hugo-palmer-saturday-runners-preview-saturday-july-22-210717-750.html 17:00, Newmarket Mazyoun There's not much to say about Mazyoun that hasn't been said already, other than that I was...

He's an intersting one, Parfait. I had him running to 113 off 85 at Newmarket in June and last weekend 114 off 100.

    Clockwatchers' Corner

The ground was really quick on Eclipse day. I use the Racing Post going allowance and they had it fast by 0.24 seconds per furlong. I rated Archetype running to his mark of 85 but Mojito running to 105. He's only been put up 5lbs for the win to 88, so could go in a few times more. I've got the...

    Clockwatchers' Corner

FETHIYE BOY put up a time way above his mark at Sandown last Friday. He's back out tomorrow night in the 6:40 at Bath under a 6lb penalty in what looks to me, a weaker race than last time.

Newmarket Gallop Reports - Early June

Acker Bilk (Stevie Donohoe), Lord Kitten (Tom Queally)(Impressively drew clear) – 8f - David Lanigan is stepping up his horses at present and Lord Kitten looks a horse to keep on the right side of. This one's declared today in the 4:35 Beverley.

I've had a few flash up on my tracker today. Had a decent bet on Jaameh and I've done E/W trebles to tiny stakes for a bit of interest. Moonraker 1:50 Newcastle, Winning Ways 3:15 Newmarket, Jaameh 3:30 Newcastle & Mont Kiara 4:50 York

Mishari (Andrea Atzeni), Kuiper Belt (Tom Queally), Excellent Sunset (Stevie Donohoe)(Burst Clear) – 7f - Three nice colts done a strong piece of work this morning but it was Excellent Sunset who was in control at the end of the gallop, going clear by 3L He's in the 20:30 at Newbury on Thursday...

I've got Jaameh running a monster speed figure too. It'll be interesting to see if he takes up his entry in the Plate this weekend.

Leshlaa is in the 2:05 at Newmarket on Saturday. I think the Queens horse looks a weak fav. The going is the concern.

    Clockwatchers' Corner

Cheers DO, it looks like we're not a million miles away from eachother on the ratings. Always nice to get a bit of confirmation. I tend to only rate Class 2 handicaps for all ages and 3 year old handicps up to Class 4. There's often the odd unexposed sort who comes through the ranks in the...

I'll throw a couple out there I've given decent ratings to on the clock this season. Middle Kingdom (101) and Euginio (105) from the Craven meeting. Leshlaa (105) and Dubai Horizon (101) Mr Lupton (112) and Eastern impact (106) from Sunday at Newmarket.

    Corals

I've had the same e-mail from Paddy Power, William Hill, Coral and Betway (after two bets!!) all within the last couple of months. I was a long standing customer of the first three as well. I thought it was something going on industry wide, but maybe it is this P.A stuff as icebreaker says.
