Another sacred day at Kempton tomorrow...

IF he is fine...and just wasnt 100% to BG then will they not get into a load of bother for that? Must assume there is something wrong with him?

Oli Bell really is a prize prick- why a sour taste in the mouth ? Just takes the gloss off Sir De Grugy's game win.

No he was plain wrong .

A sour taste - or bad taste is indicative of something dodgy or gamesmanship . It was completely the wrong description and just showed Oli Bell to be gormless with a limited vocabulary .

retire him, he owes us nothing, a heart beat that is irregular is only going to get worse.

He gave a spectacular leap earlier in the race at the open ditch. He may have overstretched himself, but Geraghty didn't dismount, which you would have expected him to do if anything was fundamentally amiss. He looked fine to me. Extreme caution in sloppy going is the likeliest cause. They'll come up with something minor to deflect the wrath of odds-on punters.

Henderson has reported that he was found to have an irregular heartbeat as of course Denman did at one time .

Let's hope it can be resolved - if not and like Binocular he needs to be retired he owes nobody anything .

Bit early to be retiring him surely? They can get irregular heartbeats once and never again. Though he might need the treatment Denman did which is a difficult choice as it does have some serious implications.

Fingers crossed he comes good, esp as I'm going to Cheltenham on the we'd for the first time for ages!!

I'm not sure they can come up with that sort of diagnosis so quickly (and of course it didn't stop Barnbrook Again who had an irregular heatbeat throughout his career). He didn't appear to be at all distressed with Geraghty trotting him back seemingly without a worry in the world. I doubt there is anything wrong with him. More likely to be the 'baby gloves' that granger spoke of in his first race back in less than ideal conditions.

The Veterinary Officer reported that on examination he found that
SPRINTER SACRE (FR), which was pulled up, trained by Nicky Henderson, had
an irregular heartbeat. The Stewards ordered SPRINTER SACRE (FR) to be
routine tested.

He's being sent for dope testing, as suggested in above statement. (Had apparently been working brilliantly.)

Henderson is taking him home rather than sending him to Newmarket for testing. Hendo says he'll be checked over in the morning.

Geraghty saw the front runner tanking along and didnt want to give the superstar a tough race on the ground. End of.

Twitter comment from esteemed forum member:

"Shocking to see a once-in-a-generation horse trained by a convicted drug cheat develop unusual medical issues".

The jury's out, but Henderson has taken him home rather than send him to Newmarket for testing.

"There've been tripwires everywhere": #SprinterSacre trainer Nicky Henderson reflects on less than smooth season on @bbc5live

Indeed there have.:(

Denman's form prior to an irregular heartbeat; 1/11112/11111/1111

Denman's form after successful treatment of an irregular heartbeat; 22F/1U24/325/.

You would have to consider retirement as a serious option.

Nonsense. Three of those 2s for Denman were as runner-up in the Gold Cup as an older horse and the win when taking the Hennessy under 11st 12lb off 174!!

Also Barnbrook Again had an irregular heartbeat throughout his career. i.e. it's treatable.

However, in Sprinter Sacre's case the 'dope' testing may prove the significant aspect of the term 'irregular heartbeat'. We won't know about that just yet though as Nicky has taken him home rather than send him to Newmarket for testing.

I love horses, you love the sport, that's why I want him to be retired and you want him to be risked on a racecourse at any cost.

Seven Barrows are one of the elite operations in the sport and I have 110% faith they will do what's right for the horse.

How many jockeys in Barry's position would have pulled him up today? the man is just sheer class.
