But what if bookies are sharing information about their clients, as some of us suspect?

Believe me, Paddy Power are not the good guys: they limit just like all the others.
I only used to bet their enhanced offers on footy and racing and lasted well over a year.
Their regular odds for horses are cringeworthy and frankly not worth looking at.
what would you say gets you banned/restricted from 365?The guy can get on with Bet365 and he's complaining.
**** my life.
That article is essentially a load of bollocks. He's not covering any new ground. I have ZERO accounts left, yes ZERO. You find other ways to get bets on if you want to win. The premise that bookmakers have the odds in their favour is an absolute myth. Is anyone seriously telling me that Bet365 make money on a Saturday the way they trade their prices and offers? I doubt they make more than 2% on racing from UK and Irish punters every year. They run it as a loss leader.
Multiples are not available. They are done through the sportsbook who will close you as soon as you back a horse over night at 5/1 that goes off 3/1.
Problem with Betfair as we all know ,is you cant get any serious money on till the death. And then only half serious money or less
Example. Right now you could have 553 pounds on Parkour at 9.14/1 with Betfair. The same horse is 8/1 with most bookies and they wouldn't lay you 8 bananas
No idea if that horse will win it's not the point. The point is in 15 minutes you could have 2k on at 9/1 guaranteed and you'd be on to plums if you tried to get a one off bet with your bookie like that.
in the time I have taken to type this 24 min before the off you could have an addition 200 on at the same price.

This is a good article which reflects a lot of the discussion on here.
I think Alex Salmond is right that the way to counter these practices is to make it a condition of a bookmaker licence that they accept any bets at advertised odds to win a reasonable amount.
I would also suggest a panel to which customers can appeal if they get restricted or closed down. The panel would have the power to seek a confidential explanation from the bookmaker, supported by facts, and decide whether their behaviour is reasonable. Unreasonable decisions could be reported to the licencing authority and taken into account when licences are up for renewal.
You reckon? Is anyone seriously telling me that Bet365 make money on a Saturday the way they trade their prices and offers? I doubt they make more than 2% on racing from UK and Irish punters every year. They run it as a loss leader.
Is there a per-Sport split of their revenue detailed anywhere, ice?
I would have reckoned 365's Football revenue would comfortably-outweigh their Horse-racing revenue (admittedly, it's speculation on my part)?
I think you nay be close to the truth, there, Grass.I would have reckoned 365's Football revenue would comfortably-outweigh their Horse-racing revenue (admittedly, it's speculation on my part)?
:lol:I've just been knocked back for a £10 4 timer for chelts!!!
You reckon?
The past financial year, Bet365 increased their annual profits by 80% year-on-year to £320 million.
This is more than the total online profits of PaddyPower, William Hill, and Betfair, combined.

Back at the start of June I was allowed 35 cents by PaddyPower on Ronaldo First-Goalscorer in the Champions League semi final .
I guess the point is whilst you seem to be suggesting that Bet365 is some sort of suicidal self-crucifying bookie -- i.e. "Is anyone seriously telling me that Bet365 make money on a Saturday the way they trade their prices and offers? I doubt they make more than 2% on racing from UK and Irish punters every year", that their annual figures would suggest otherwise. What's you point? That doesn't show the breakdown I'm talking about.
The fact that lads on here can't work out why Bet365 can't make money on horse racing is why they have Bet365 accounts.
I would love to have a betting shop full of talking horses forum members.
I do PaddyPower a disservice, and am happy to correct my mistake.Back at the start of June I was allowed 35 cents by PaddyPower on Ronaldo First-Goalscorer in the Champions League semi final .
