Champion Hurdle 2014

Exactly... sick to death of people making out Mullins is somehow hurting racing by not stating the obvious. Same goes for the novices - its clear where they are going baring injury.

Can we get a list of what races his Novices will be targeting as a reminder? (Not just entries as they are prob all over the place).

What twoddle - if it was that clear there would be no reason for Mullins not to state that is the case or Ricci .

Mullins increasingly has a lot in common with AOB - not only their pre-eminence but their ability to talk bilge.Indeed, Hurricane Fly will shortly be described as a contender for the July Cup at this rate.

So you offer no evidence then?

Fair enough.

Grassy, I've explained this before. Could have sworn Ruby was bopping up and down on the fly last year, was being scrubbed along. That was from a 1 man band in ROR who couldn't sustain it. The difference this year is that there is a relay team (Jezki, Our Connor and TNO) out in force to ensure the pace is relentless thus not allowing the fly any chance of getting back in to it.

The evidence is all to clear alas

Have Coral got inside info on MTOY or something. Has he got 6 legs.
Down as 7/5 fav in racing post today.

do they get to carry batons in their mouth as well?

The notion that Hurricane Fly isn't capable of keeping up with the field and will be already out of the race by the time they reach the straight is extraordinary.

Was he not beaten by ROR. How well was he travelling last year when the pace hotted up. That was all very clear alas. This is a stronger CH where the pace will be unrelenting, with someone waiting to take it up should it slacken.

Isn't? People looking for a rationale to support their beliefs. Hurricane is a slow coach is he?

Also surprising how the common theme of those against him is to latch onto the one day he ran below par, ignoring everything before and since.

Yes he has won 2 champion hurdles, but he is probably not as good there as he is in Ireland. These are very valid points. I've nothing against the fly. What he has achieved takes some doing. The evidence is there though. If you don't want to see it then so be it. I firmly believe if it is a strongly run race then he's beaten, especially so if good is anywhere in the going.

Are you suggesting

a) that in all those races he's won that he's beaten nothing of note? Nothing of the quality he'll meet next month?

or

b) that all his opponents have played into the hands of a slowcoach and let him win by default?

It's one or the other.
