Cheltenham 2016

Hendo only has Sign Of A Victory and Days Of Heaven in Sunday's StanJames.com Greatwood Hurdle, as the trainer on Monday took out leading contenders Hargam and L'Ami Serge.

More Of That entered in Steel Plate & Sections novice chase on Friday, but Geraghty jocked-up on The Saint James, so presumably the MOT will be an NR.

Official Going as posted 5 minutes ago

We had 11mm of rain over the weekend. Going GOOD TO SOFT with a unsettled weather forecast for next few days. Cross Country course is GOOD.

If you didn't beat the price rise last month a warning that tickets for The Festival go up again at midnight on Sunday

Ffs, by much??

Anyone know if Guinness give out many comps? A mate owns a pub and has said hel ask the rep, but I don't want to hold on and then maybe have to buy at a more expensive price...

Just a fiver Del, goes up to £70 I think.

The Saint James entered at Exeter on Wednesday.

If the booking of Geraghty on TSJ on Saturday were from any other stable I might read something into it....but its from Jonjo so I would personally assume its as baffling and backward as most of the things to have come out of Jackdaws the past 10 + years.

Anyone coming to the racecourse for the premiere of the film "Being AP" on November 23rd should note the timings have changed and is now doors open at 5pm with film starting at 6.20pm to coincide with its premiere in London.

Questions and answers after with Clare Balding.

Claisse on local radio this morning

"Going is near perfect, Good (Good to Soft in places). Racecourse has missed a lot of the rain for last three weeks and there have been high winds drying up what we have had."

Cue ECI to tell us what the going really is  :)

Currently sunny here with short sharp burst of rain forecast overnight. Local forecast tomorrow is heavy showers, some of which could be hail, clearing up during the afternoon. Could be some heavy rain Saturday afternoon.

Cheers for the nod, DG.

Myself and Digger will be in The Plough in Prestbury from around 10:00 tomorrow morning, if anyone is knocking about.

i think i'll just leave mentioning the going on here in future...its best just to believe the official reports..they are always right..and when they aren't people still believe them....i'm sure you will keep people updated

makes no difference to me DG..saves time and effort

Just for interest Denman was here today schooling over the cross country fences. He's fifteen now but looked half that age skipping around.

Skybet boosting the price on Jonjo to have a 2016 festival winner to 5/2 until 13.00

Looks a gift if you can get on, as I'd price him up long odds on (he's only had a blank twice since 2002)
